This week we said goodbye to Louise 😞. She is survived by her twin sister “mean Thelma “ and all her admirers, both 2 legged and 4 legged ❤️
Louise was our very first milking goat and the namesake of our Cheese Louise!
She was a great mom raising groups of triplets on a regular basis. She also was quite fond of breeding season! Her “calling” for the buck was unparalleled 😆. There was never a question it was THAT season.
Louise has been in retirement for a number of years. She spent most of her days chewing her cud and meditating in the sunshine.
RIP Louise. You will be missed. ❤️
The average life span of a goat is 10-12 years.
Louise would have been 14 in September

We said goodbye to our Gracie Girl this weekend 💔 She was our Queen for many years. Originally a rescue via Maureen And Carly Sutton, I called her my Garden Variety breed. Although not much of a milker, Gracie was a great mom right down to her last “oops” kidding at 11
years old. She was also very tolerant of the kids who liked to snuggle while she babysat through their weaning.
In her golden years Vicki Ramsey doted on her with spa treatments and extra treats. Gracie was one of the few that would respond when you called her, trotting up for attention and animal cookies.
A smart, attentive, bossy, kind and perfect goat….
We will see you in the next round Gracie ❤️
