Hiked three miles around amazing world of wonders Victoria falls. Of course I was exhausted but our day continued with a visit to a village. We met with the chief who talked our ear off but he meant well. Of course a donation was involved with a purchase of art created by a handicap women. Next we stopped at at least five pharmacies to find a cream that I don't want to leave with out. Lunch at look out cafe was spectacular then off to our lodge for a quick nap. Tonight we're headed to Three Monkeys for dinner. Early walk up call tomorrow we're off to Botswana for a safari in. Chobe!! Can't wait 👍

The Rhine River is one of Europe's most famous waterways, and it's easy to see why:

Last month we spent the perfect day visiting the Alsace countryside driving the famous wine trail route des vins 🍷

The Alsace region can be found in the very eastern side of France in a valley along the Rhine River that separates France and Germany.

We stopped for a wine tasting at Domaine Fritz-Schmitt, greeted by Antoine, the founder’s son, for a tasting of four wines produced on their estate.

We had a fantastic time!

We had an amazing time in Amsterdam and we can't wait to show you more from our travels as we headed to the Swiss Alps and Italy!

We wanted to share some of the things that we learned about getting around the city so here goes:

#1 I learned the city is in the process of rerouting roads so cars will not be welcome.

#2 Trams are a super easy way too get around!

#3 Bikes have the right away and there are more bike roads then walking paths in Amsterdam.

Overall, It's such a unique place filled with art, history, culture, food and so much more.

I would highly recommend going if you get the chance!

Spending several days in Amsterdam has been an education.

Of course, we had to spend time exploring Amsterdam’s extensive museums.

One such museum we visited was The Rijksmuseum, a Dutch national museum dedicated to arts and history.

The museum is located at the Museum Square in the borough of Amsterdam South, close to the Van Gogh Museum, the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, and the Concertgebouw.

We loved the model ship section (Model of the William Rex seen here), as well as the large collection of stunning artworks.

We highly recommend downloading the Rijksmuseum App to take advantage of the multimedia tours offered!

With age comes wisdom, with travel comes understanding.

The world is a big place, with so much to see and do.

Travel takes us out of our comfort zone and allows us to see the world from new perspectives.

The more we travel, the more we understand about ourselves and about others.

I have been fortunate enough to travel all over the world and experience many different cultures, but I'm still learning.

🌷 We were so excited to finally visit Keukenhof Gardens during our river cruise through Holland! 🌷

We have been waiting to visit for the last two years and it certainly was worth it.

With 70 acres of parkland and lakes, it's one of the world's largest flower gardens with nearly 7 million flowering bulbs bursting with color.

Garden and flower lovers need to put this destination on their bucket list.

This month during our river cruise we stopped at Zaanse Schans to see original windmills!

Zaanse Schans is a neighborhood in the Dutch town of Zaandam, near Amsterdam.

Historic windmills and distinctive green wooden houses were relocated here to recreate the look of an 18th/19th-century village.

The Zaans Museum has regional costumes, model windmills, and interactive exhibits on chocolate making.

Artisan workshops demonstrate rare handicrafts such as wooden clog carving, barrel making, and pewter casting.

Overall we thought this stop was cute but a bit touristy.

We are excited to share all the details of our travels this month through the Netherlands!

Paris is the city of love, but did you know it's also the city of flowers?

In fact, thousands of flowers are planted in Paris each spring to make the beautifully fragrant city even more enticing.

Roses, tulips and other flowers fill the city parks while blooming trees lace the city streets with blossoms.

Be sure to visit Jardin de Tuileries, which contains an impressive variety of flowers that are planted in accordance to the seasons!

Also plan to catch a glimpse at Arc de Triomphe , the lovely Ile de la Cite, Notre Dame Cathedral and other famous structures that are enhanced by their timeless beauty in spring.

Travel to the City of Light for an unforgettable springtime adventure, with a river cruise that takes you from the historic streets of Paris to its captivating, lavender-scented countryside.
