Check out this brand new park!
Looking to get outside and do some hiking during this weekend's (relative) heat wave? Well we have some good news for you: Paddy Mountain Park is officially open to the public!
Blue Ridge Conservancy is incredibly excited to have completed this project in just over a year. We extend our deepest gratitude to Brantley Price and the Town of West Jefferson, Ashe County, MBI Builders, Interface Environmental Consulting, LLC, and Nature Trails, LLC for their tireless efforts and outstanding work. We are also grateful to the numerous volunteers who helped us clear the trails after Hurricane Helene.
Please note that this winter will be a "soft opening" for the park, as we are still finalizing a few details. We will be hosting a grand opening celebration in the spring.
**Important Information:**
* Want to visit? From Downtown West Jefferson, continue north on 194 for 1/4 mile and turn left onto Ridge Ave. The park is on your immediate right.
* There are currently no signs or regulations posted at the park.
* The park is open from dawn to dusk and is for foot traffic only.
* No alcohol, camping, fires, bikes, or hunting is allowed.
* Please stay on the trail and use AllTrails for an up-to-date map until signage is posted. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/north-carolina/paddy-mountain-park-trails-2
