The neighborhood is very safe and family friendly. There are many places nearby for walking or running, including parks with trails, and the Purdue campus. We are also a 2 minute drive to the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex. Driving around i
s easy with little traffic. Uber and Lyft operate locally, and there are bike and scooter rentals readily available. The city bus stops near our corner and provides transportation throughout campus and the cities of West Lafayette and Lafayette. Lots of restaurants - bars - in the area (several menus are available in a kitchen drawer) as well as grocery stores (Super Walmart, Pay Less, Fresh Thyme, Meijer). Home football game weekends: There is a two night minimum stay (Friday and Saturday nights) for football weekends. The yard is a parking/tailgating lot. Guests will have a designated parking space and use of the covered back patio/bar. Our yard gets crazy-fun during football games...if you want to have a college football game day experience, this is the place! First day of classes after Spring Break and campus is buzzing again.
Purdue victory last night - headed to the Sweet 16. Hopefully we can get past 15 seed Saint Peter’s to get to Elite 8.
Football team is taking advantage of the nice weather and practicing across the street. Looking forward to next season. We have booked 3 games so far in our AirBnB - 3 still available.
Purdue baseball team is playing exceptionally well with home games this weekend.

Heather and I really enjoy hosting fellow alumni - always fun to talk to them about what has changed at Purdue since their last visit. Had some 2017 grads visit this past weekend for the Maryland game.
I learned something new - if you were in the dorm your senior year you can go by the Alumni office at Cary Quad and get a coupon for a free meal in one of the dining centers.

Heather and I tried Town and Gown Bistro this morning - our first visit. Loved the atmosphere. The food was good. The coffee was very good. Was packed by the time we left - a very popular place. Not my favorite breakfast place but it was good. Recommend.

82 days until Ross-Ade comes alive.
Bring your keys this year - not your FOB but actual keys. I was told by a friend whose dad played with Leroy that jingling keys at Ross-Ade started when LeRoy Keyes returned kicks. I also recently found a newspaper article that mentioned this. I had no idea why, as a Purdue student 1987-91 we did this - but I joined thousands of other fans and jingled my keys during kickoffs.
This tradition has died off in recent years because as no one carries keys anymore. Make it a point to put a ring together and break them out during kick returns in honor of LeRoy. Let’s bring this tradition back, and louder than ever! ,
