I love fabric, I find so much joy in beautiful fabric and beautiful things that are made out of that fabric. But not just sewing, creating...food, crafts, outdoor creations too like gardening and "treasure finding"!! The name Buzzmills, for those of you who don't personally know my husband and I...came from the names we call each other, I am Mills (my actual middle name) and he is Buzz (b/c he was
busy as a bee when we first started dating...) and when these are put together we imagine one day a cafe or small shop buzzing with happy noises from customers milling about...maybe even a place where people will get a chance to create with us!! Until then, ...it's just my sewing machine buzzing...!

Several years ago I gathered the alphabet...one letter a day found in signs around me...I put together this poster at the end...

I finally figured out what to do with the marbled fabric I made while teaching at Sew Leana summer camp this past August ... perfect for a unicorn!!
This is the new unicorn pattern from Gingercake Patterns & Design and I (and the kids!) are in love with it!
It’s to perfect shape to hold and snuggle with... that’s an opinion straight from the kids! 😄 and it was super fun to sew! I used some scraps of French terry for the mane and tail and the iridescent horn fabric I had in my stash from another unicorn I made a couple years ago for Henry. I love Virginia’s tutorial for making the horn, it makes it extra special and looks like the perfect horn! .
Violet (and maybe Henry too) want to see about making one on their own too...☺️

Oh my I am in love with the from ! I sewed One in a knit and the other in a woven and i’m thrilled with both! You gotta love a versatile pattern where you choose your view, your size, you bra cup size and the type of fabric you want! And in this amazing linen knit and this rayon poplin from you get such different but equally fabulous tees out of one pattern! .

On the tenth day of christmas I gave my true love... a 🎶🎵🎶...
I knew I wouldn’t have time to make this for Christmas... but I had been planning on making it for months... so post craft show I ordered more lovely waxed canvas from Stonemountain & Daughter Fabrics with the aim to finish it soon after Christmas... and voila two days post winter break i started and finished it!
