Leaves here at 2100' have also begun their autumnal march with Swamp Maples eagerly flaunting patches of red while Sugar Maples in true regal style tease with the faintest display of transitional green. A major rebuild of the campfire area at Starry Night with a tip o' the hat to Ann & Gordon Ketterer "Flat Rock" parties from our first round in VT (80's). Cooking on a flat stone is a new "built in" addition with some good eating guaranteed for friends & family!!! (Stacked stones were hand quarried across brook.)

Gardens ready for seeding. Willow retrieving. Contrails intersecting and maybe even a blessing. Warmth...patiently we've been waiting!

Lawn switched on the color. Geese, ducks, red winged blackbirds and a newbie Kingfisher have returned. Beaver are making waves and cutting wood. A pileated woodpecker cruised low overhead as I walked Willow. Gardens will soon be on the agenda.
