This is a Norton amplifier. It was originally built in the early 1950's and used eight 845 tubes, 4 in parallel, running in Push-Pull Class A, with the other 4. I purchased it at a hamfest in Memphis, TN in the 1980's for $15 with tubes. I am now converting it to be used as a modulator with my AM transmitter. It now has a pair of 250TH tubes in the AF output using an RCA mod transformer & 65Hy mod reactor, coupled to two 4-400 RF output tubes. 3000 volts on the plates from two separate power supplies.
