A Few Great New Year’s Intentions:
* Create a nature friend group.
* Together brainstorm places to walk, hike, beaches, shorelines, and schedule visits throughout 2024.
* Pick at least one state or national park you’ve never been to visit this year.
* Research the best lakes for fishing and plan a spring trip.
* Take advantage of clean-up days near your neighborhood and volunteer.
* Play with your child or a neice or nephew outside often and encourage them get dirty.
* Host a potluck style gathering and ask guests to bring dishes to share made of only local ingredients.
* Plan a bicycle trip to enjoy cross-country trails.
* Plant a tree.
* Be more wild.
* Take a hike in the Northeastern Kingdom.
* Find the best views near your town, and make plans to enjoy the view.
* Hug a tree.
* Work on getting in optimal physical shape so you can do all that hiking you’ve planned.
* Make a date with your dog to walk and watch the sunset.
* Take your family to your favorite lake
* Plant some of your favorite vacation vegetation in your yard.
* Plan a canoe or kayak day or week!
* Unplug from your cell phone for one full day a month, or start with 1 hour a day, and sit in your yard or go for a walk in a park.
* Book a week or two at your favorite place to vacation ~ like Mountain Lake Cottages in Westmore, Vermont! And have something else to look forward to!
