Natural, Real-World Context: Push-in therapy provides opportunities for campers to practice communication skills in real-life settings. This enhances the transfer of learned skills from therapy sessions to everyday interactions.
Increased Engagement: Campers are more likely to be engaged and motivated because they are participating in fun, summer camp activities.
Feedback from SLPs: SLPS can provide immediate feedback and support for our campers; helping them apply various communication strategies and techniques in real time.
Social Skills Development: Campers have opportunities to practice social skills and build new friendships with other kids that share their unique experience.
Collaboration with Staff: SLPs can collaborate closely with camp staff to ensure that therapy goals are aligned with camp activities.
