How are you all feeling? This South Beach weather is really putting an end to a great summer season. I enjoyed a delicious Succotach with home grown corn and tomatoes from my hubbie Mike Coverdale and I got some Tiger Prawns from Merino's Seafood Market, some linguiça from Bay City Sausage Co. for a makeshift Paella and a bottle of Rosé from Westhaven Wines. Getting all geared up for a great Fall Season with some surprises to come, Stay tuned!

One of my favorite coffee strolls.

Half Moon Bay, aka the Cove, is one of our favorite beaches in Westport. In the winter months, you get a front-row seat to the massive shorebreak rolling in off the Pacific. Spring through fall, it's the perfect beach for walking, beachcombing, having a picnic, or spending the day.

Parking is available halfway down Jetty Haul Rd on the right-hand side on your way to Westhaven State Park. There are a few paved spots on Jetty Haul Rd, and if you drive up into the dirt lot, you'll find plenty of parking with views of the bay. No parking passes are required to park in this lot. You may also access the Cove from Westhaven State Park, which offers bathroom amenities. A Discover Pass is required, or you can purchase a day pass at the kiosk.

If you're on foot or bike, you may access the beach via the Westport Light Trail.
