Bigfoot Wilderness Lodge is a vacation home with over 2500' of frontage on the Sturgeon River and 7 acres surrounded by the National Forest. Located near Munising and in the heart of the Hiawatha National Forest in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. We are just a short drive to Lake Superior, 17 waterfalls, Pictured Rocks, Kitch-iti-kipi and scenic route H-58. Enjoy year round activities right from the

door step that include snowmobiling, SxS and ORV riding, motorcycle routes, fishing, hunting, hiking, mountain, fat tire biking, canoe, kayak, or just relax and enjoy the view right from the lodge. Who knows, you might even get the opportunity to get a glimpse of Bigfoot too! Lodge amenities include three bedrooms “two private bedrooms with memory foam log queen beds and a third bedroom with a full over full log bunkbed.” One additional twin mattress is available upon request. One full size bathroom with on demand hot water and laundry area. All towels and bedding provided. Fully stocked kitchen that includes all cookware, tableware, coffee maker, toaster, blender, fridge, microwave, gas stove and necessary essentials. Wood stove with fire wood, wifi, 55" smart tv, furnace for heat, and central air. Outdoor amenities include deck overlooking the Sturgeon River and Hiawatha National Forest with views for the perfect sunrise or sunset. webber gas grill, webber charcoal grill, fire pit and parking for multiple vehicles and large trailers for your winter or summer toys. Fall colors are coming along nicely here at Bigfoot Wilderness Lodge🍁The closer you get to Lake Superior the more time you have to catch the colors.

Did you know that you can ride your snowmobile or ORV and fuel up with NO ETHANOL 91 right down the road from us at Midway General Store. They also offer so much more😁 definitely worth a stop even when passing through

We are now back up to 91 No ethanol fuel going into the winter season!

Even though our property is on the Sturgeon river, the Indian river is only 10 minutes away and from there you can start your kayak trip. This area truly is a beautiful place.

During the Baldy Shores Kayaking trip, customers will explore the Indian River while also drifting through the Hiawatha National Forest in Wetmore.

Midway General Store is right down the road and worth the visit!

Our last music on the deck was a great turnout so we have a few more set up for August! This is the next one coming up in just a few weeks. He is from Marquette and well known. Please come out and support! We will be doing pizza’s and the Fish Basket will out here as well cooking the freshest white fish!

STAY & PLAY @ BIGFOOT WILDERNESS LODGE near Munising! We are currently available the last two weeks of October and all of November. We are located on County Road 440. Four miles west of Federal Forest Road 13.

Kitchitikipe “The Big Spring”

It was such a beautiful day in the UP today, we took a ride out to Kitchitikipe, which means “The Big Spring”. It’s a short 41 minute drive or motorcycle ride from Bigfoot Wilderness Lodge, and during the winter, about the same time via snowmobile. If you’ve never been there before, it’s a must see, even during the winter with the snow covered trees. Check out the video, notice how big the Trout are and you can clearly see “The Big Spring”.
