Glacier National Park has announced vehicle reservations for summer 2025. New for 2025, the park will be piloting timed entry reservations for the west side of Going-to-the-Sun Road and the North Fork. Visitors will enter the park according to the time block they have reserved and can remain in the park for as long as they like on the day of their reservation.

We had the privilege of hosting some amazing media in mid-September to show them what our authentic little town is all about. 🏞 Writers and influencers from all walks of life, publications, and cities joined us in an epic 5-day tour around town, through Glacier National Park, and on our beautiful trails. Big thanks to our gracious participating members for hosting us all week and to the fabulous media folks who made the trip - what a fabulous group! 💙

Let's go back in time again this week with another epic costume from Halloween's past. ⚡Jim and Lisa Stack dressed as characters from "Ghostbusters" for the downtown Halloween costume contest. The Stacks won first place for best couple or group costume!

Local feature on as the reimagined songwriter festival, Downtown In The Round, kicks off this weekend! 🎶

was founded by and and is a production company created to bring in-the-round style songwriter shows to Whitefish. These shows feature the original artists—the songwriters—telling the stories behind the songs, and singing them in their raw form, just the way they were originally written. For the audience, it’s a unique, no-show-is-the-same, intimate music experience.

Downtown in The Round is a songwriter festival featuring six Nashville hit songwriters, eight local and regional artists, and a Nashville session musician. This festival is a fresh spin on the increasingly popular songwriter festival format featuring songs currently on the Billboard charts. From You Look Like You Love me by Ella Langley feat. Riley Green, written by Aaron Raitiere to Dirt Cheap by Cody Johnson, written by Josh Phillips.

It's spooky season, and we're here for it! 👻 Every week leading up to Halloween night, we will post a blast from the scary past and tell the photo's story. Each is from the archives at and we had the best time flipping through those pages to find these gems.

As humans, we have an innate desire to explore. Travel can be a way to learn through cultural immersion, nature can improve our mental health, and exploration can lead to knowledge and understanding. Here in Whitefish, we are fortunate to live in one of the world's most beautiful natural environments, and with the gift of nature comes the added responsibility of managing tourism to protect and preserve our way of life and our wild spaces.

Over the last 10 years, tourism management has evolved to include managing and strategically building beneficial tourism for our communities rather than simply building visitor numbers. Organizations, like Explore Whitefish, are tasked with managing the effects of short-term rentals, remote workers, travel for selfies, increased air accessibility, and so much more. In fact, our travel environment now includes over 12 billion smartphones and 1.4 billion new global travelers.

As we recognize World Tourism Day, we'd like to thank Explore Whitefish's Board of Directors and our member businesses who have helped fund and steer our work toward stewardship to protect our close-knit community and authenticity.
