(7)

There are only two of us who take out tours, so we prefer to only take out one or two people at a time. To make reservations with us, please call 1-406-862-7232 or send an email to : [email protected]. PLEASE GOOGLE: WINTER WOODS DOG SLED TOURS (the exploreWhitefish site) TO VIEW OUR WEB PAGE AND GET MORE INFORMATION ABOUT OUR TOURS. :)

We specialized in Tours for Two! We will take

out a single person also. We usually would consider taking out 3-4 people, but due to COVID we are LIMITING OUR TOURS TO TWO PEOPLE. You need to be in GOOD PHYSICAL CONDITION to take our tours since you will be STANDING on the sled and actively involved with driving the sled through the narrow, winding trails of the Stillwater State Forest. We charge $125.00 per person. Dress warm and be ready to help run a team of Alaskan Huskies through the woods of Northwest Montana. Plan on spending approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours with us learning about the dogs and taking the tour. Hot chocolate, hot cider, and cookies available after the tour. We are all about Tours For Two people since we are such a small kennel-we don't have the dog power to do large groups.

We have the dogs ready for summer. We added the shades to their houses, now they always have a cool spot to rest in!

Summer may not be our favorite time of year, but this view is not too bad either.

Our Story

We specialized in TOURS FOR TWO! We are a small mom and pop kennel with only 23 Alaskan Huskies and we really enjoy taking out one person per sled to give a lot of personal attention to our clients. We have two tour sleds available for our tours. We will consider taking out a family if the children are 10 or older and meet the weight requirements listed below.

We have been running dog sled races for over 30 years and giving tours for 12 years. Dog sledding is a way of life for us and we would love to introduce you to how we live with our 23 happy dogs.

We have a weight limit of 250 pounds per sled. (One adult weighing 250 pounds or less OR an adult and child with that combined weight). Since it is a fairly long tour, and we can’t turn around if little ones get cold, we recommend the kids be 10 years old or older.

Our season can begin December 1st depending on snow and trail conditions. We are taking reservations now for the 2019-2020 winter season. Our season ends April 1st- again depending on snow/trail conditions.
