Ptarmigan Village is halfway up the Big Mountain, also known as Whitefish Mountain- Summer and Winter Resort. Unit 79 White River - cabin type atmosphere, sleeps 8, 2 bedrooms (1 queen size bed new furniture)(1 new queen size bed and furniture & bunk beds-full and single), 2 updated bathrooms, sleeper sofa

, cable, central air and heat, internet, tv and dvd in every bedroom and in living room, updated fully functional kitchen, bar b que pit on good size second floor porch with picnic table, 2 community pools, tennis courts(there are tennis racquets and balls in condo for renter use), basketball goal (basketball in unit), play area for kids( just about a block from back of unit), Elmer's Pond within 2 blocks of walking (fishing poles for kids in unit), laundry room and wood shed very close to unit....see website and photos we posted for more details on this well maintained community. Whitefish also has a new 5 acre dogpark and skydiving. Glacier National Park and Flathead Lake are nearby.

Good afternoon, we just wanted to update everyone on Ptarmigan Village Unit #79. The unit has been updated with a split AC/Heating unit. Each room is independently controlled for each comfort level. We hope you enjoy and stay here comfortably. Have a great day and a great stay!!

With temperatures still to fall considerably further, we have made the decision to close tomorrow (1/12/24) out of concern for our guests’ and staff’s safety. We are still evaluating what operations on Saturday may look like - please stay tuned to our social channels and website.

Guests who have had prior arrangements to ski or ride, rent gear, or take a lesson are encouraged to call our ticket counter (406-862-2900) where we will have representatives who can answer questions or direct your call to further help during normal business hours.

Happy New Year ! Wow..we finished 2018 by renovating the upstairs of the unit. New kitchen, new appliances, new floors, both bathrooms, etc... We hope you like and enjoy your stay. Please keep us posted by sending us a message via Facebook and/or leave a note in our guest book.

Our Story Updated (9/20/18) Ptarmigan Village is half way up the Big Mountain, also known as Whitefish Mountain- Summer and Winter Resort. Unit 79 White River - cabin type atmosphere, could sleep 8, 2 bedrooms (master -1 queen size bed),(second room- 1 full size bed & new bunk beds-full and twin bunks) all new bedding, 2 full bathrooms, new sleeper sofa, cable, internet access (wifi), new TVs in both bedrooms and living room, fully functional kitchen, bbq pit on good size second floor porch with table and chairs, indoor community pool with outside hot tub, outdoor playground set, tennis courts are a block from back of unit, Elmer's Pond within 2 blocks of walking, laundry room and wood shed very close to unit....see website and photos we posted for more details on this well maintained community. You will also have access to WhiteFish Lake beachfront when you rent from Ptarmigan Village.
