Beautiful snow day in the mountains

Just sharing that we’re in a zone thats not closed to visitors. A lot of national media is making it seem like all of NC is closed. I wouldn’t plan a visit to Asheville right now, but hikes in the national park and some quality alone time with nature is a nice trip for all to enjoy!

Just wanted to share that our valley and both and made it through Hurricane Helene with no issues. Some parts of Western, NC weren’t so lucky.

The good news is much of our area is open and available. Our cabins are open and available to rent. Come relax in peace and tranquility and escape the storms in your life to reconnect with yourself, your family, nature, or whatever your distant from.

Stay safe and praying for those who were affected.

We’ve been busy with our sister property in Kitchen Valley setting up the 4th bedroom and game room. Also busy doing maintenance to our originalpride and joy . Summer in the mountains is always amazing spending time with family, even if it’s also doing lots of projects.

Drywall is hung! Finishing starts mext week, air conditioning the next, and then on to paint and flooring!

Exciting changes happening at our sister property, Cate’s Cove. We’ve begun the process to finish the basement which will become another gathering space with TV and games as well as add another bedroom and over 1,200 sqft of air conditioned space. Right now we’re framing, wiring, and laying out the electric fireplace in preparation for the remaining drywall. Stay tuned for progress as it comes along!

Well, 2023 was quite a year in Kitchin Valley. We had another great year serving guests at Parker's Creek Cabin, and completed our new sister property: Cate’s Cove! We enjoyed a great summer there with family and friends. It’s hard being half a world away, but with our great team of family and friends in the valley, our properties are better than even!

We have big plans for 2023, and hope you and your families come back to make more memories away from the stress of modern life in our secluded slice of paradise. Here’s to more time with those who matter most in 2023: you and yours. Cheers!
