Just sharing that we’re in a zone thats not closed to visitors. A lot of national media is making it seem like all of NC is closed. I wouldn’t plan a visit to Asheville right now, but hikes in the national park and some quality alone time with nature is a nice trip for all to enjoy!

Just wanted to share that our valley and both and made it through Hurricane Helene with no issues. Some parts of Western, NC weren’t so lucky.

The good news is much of our area is open and available. Our cabins are open and available to rent. Come relax in peace and tranquility and escape the storms in your life to reconnect with yourself, your family, nature, or whatever your distant from.

Stay safe and praying for those who were affected.

We’ve been busy with our sister property in Kitchen Valley setting up the 4th bedroom and game room. Also busy doing maintenance to our originalpride and joy . Summer in the mountains is always amazing spending time with family, even if it’s also doing lots of projects.

Welcome to Parker’s Creek Cabin

Nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains lies a small mountain town named Whittier, NC. As you follow along the Tukasegee River, you'll turn off the paved road onto Kitchin Road (named after Arthur Kicthin, who once owned the entire valley at the turn of the century and whose family still lives along this road). You'll wind up along a stream fed by multiple artisanal springs that bubble up at the top of the valley (one that flows through Parker's Creek too!). As you meander up past Kitchen's 1900's Red Barn and former depression era milking shed, you'll pass a beautiful oak tree and meet up with the road to turn up toward Parker's Creek. Sprawling across 7 acres you'll have spectacular views of the surrounding Smoky Mountains while also enjoying secluded privacy to re-coup and re-charge. An expansive 10' covered deck awaits for you to sit and rock, have coffee, or sip some of the amazing local mountain beers. A large cathedral ceiling with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open loft master suite paired with a quaint kitchen/living room with gas fireplace. Facing the gorgeous mountain views is a 5 person hot tub on the deck, and a short walk from a gorgeous fire pit area that shares the same views.
