This cabin sits on 3 1/2 acres of wooded area that is great for hiking and includes many picnic areas. The creek is cool and refreshing and will gently lull you to sleep. It is located in Swain County North Carolina on the North Carolina sid

e of the Tennessee/North Carolina border. It is a great base location for hiking portions of the Appalachian Trail, whitewater rafting the Nantahala River, or tubing in Deep Creek portion of the Smoky Mountain National Park. You can easily get to Bryson City or Dillsboro and ridge the Great Smoky Mountain Train.

The synchronous fireflies are set to swarm and light up the Great Smoky Mountains, a forest area that straddles the border between North Carolina and Tennessee, May 30 through June 6.
