I just got back from an amazing stay in Play del Carmen!

A couple of friends and I spent the long holiday weekend hanging out at Iberostar Waves Quetzal and Tucan. We had so much fun and loved our stay! What did we enjoy?

🌴 The amazing view from our oceanfront room
🌴 The beautiful beach and turquoise water
🌴 The lush, jungle atmosphere
🌴 Getting to choose between 8 different restaurants to eat at each day
🌴 Fun activities such as Zumba, water aerobics, karaoke, nightly shows, lotteria, bingo and trivia.
🌴 Enjoying any one of the 3 adult friendly pools
🌴 Watching the coatis, flamingos and monkeys
🌴 Walking the jungle paths

I would definitely recommend this resort to couples or young families. Teens may be kind of bored here, but it's a great option for everyone else!

At Iberostar Waves Quetzal and Tucan, there are four pools to choose from. There is the adults only pool, which is secluded and has a swim up bar.

There is the family pool, which seems to go on forever and has a zero depth entry.

There is a quiet lap pool.

Or, there is the children's pool, which is perfect for toddlers and presages children.

International travel tip! Always pack some sort of tummy meds. You never know how your body is going to react to foreign food and/or water. I will NEVER go to Mexico again without some backup help for tummy issues

Also? Keep in mind that meds you get in other countries are NOT the same as what you get in the U.S., even if the brand is the same. Always use caution when trying something new to you.
