Happy Festival Friday! This week, we want to remind you that Early Bird Vendor Rates end on Monday, April 15th! Vendor rates increase on Tuesday, April 16th. Booths without electricity will be $125 for a 10x10 space, and booths with electricity will be $150 for a 10x10 space. We are no longer accepting applications for food vendors. FREEZING WEATHER IS ON THE WAY!
🌊 WATER PIPE PROTECTION 🌊
* Make sure to place your meter lid on top of the meter box in your yard.
* Report broken meter lids to water utility to prevent frozen meters.
* Remove, drain and store garden hoses.
* Seal air drafts around fixtures, close off crawl spaces, and insulate walls and attics.
* Install a pipe sleeve for water pipes that are not insulated. Building supply stores carry these and other supplies for insulating pipes.
* Drain in-ground lawn irrigation systems. Use the manufacturer instructions.
🥶 PREVENT FROZEN PIPES 🥶
* Set home thermostats above 55° during cold weather.
* Drip cold water in farthest faucet from your main valve. Moving water keeps pipes from freezing.
* Find shut off valves for emergencies.
* Insulate pipes in unheated areas.
* Open cupboards and vanities to warm pipes.
* Close inside valves that control the water supply.
* Open the outside spigots to allow to drain water out.
* Keep outsides valve open so water remaining in the pipe can expand without causing a break.
* When freezing weather is coming, turn off water to outside spigots and drain all water from the line.
😫 IF YOUR HOUSEHOLD PIPES BURST… 😫
* Shut off your main water valve.
* Call a licensed plumber immediately.
🚰 FIND MY MAIN WATER SHUT OFF VALVE? 🚰
* Look for the main valve where the water supply enters your house.
* If the valve is outside your house, lift the cover with a large screwdriver.
* Use a pipe or crescent wrench to turn off the water.
* Mark the shut-off valve with fluorescent paint or tape so you can find it in the dark.
🧊 IF YOUR METER FREEZES… 🧊
* Call 601.928.2224 and leave a message or text 601.606.0086 immediately if you think your meter is frozen.
* Do not thaw your water meter. This can result in extensive damage.
* Water meters located inside or outside homes and buildings may freeze when temperatures fall below freezing.

Anyone is welcome to include their group/business but must be approved first before DEC 7th by sending your into the the inbox here on our page. 🙂 Decorated vehicles, trailers and tractors are welcome, as well as walking groups. We are also looking for sponsors and donations for the parade. Please message me if you have any throws or would like to help the Fire Dept by donating candy from your business or organization for Santa to distribute into the crowd. 🎄

'Tis the season for the Wiggins Christmas Parade!! The Christmas Parade will be on December 9th, 2023 at 5 p.m. This year's theme is "A Storybook Christmas". We hope you are just as excited as we are!
