I spent most of April 2023 in the Masai Mara and was fortunate that the rains were very light if they came at all. Not like the floods experienced this year.

My friend Julius and I once drove an entire morning without crossing paths with any other safari vehicles. It was unprecedented ... also wonderful.

The birds were astonishing. This is a common waxbill, first time I've ever got a photo of it. Please peep large.

I love the last light of day at Amboseli National Park. Especially when the elephants are feeling chipper. This image depicts a couple of young, healthy males sparring in a friendly way.

The color is not manipulated. It's a combination of the mud they're wearing and low light.

Our clients are having a great time in Southern Africa. They just spent 4 incredible nights at the beautiful Shinde Camp in the Okavango Delta, which not only included typical game drives, but also boating excursions and fishing too! They’ve only shared a few iPhone pics so far, and now are in Namibia for their next adventure! They were thrilled to see the wild dogs and a mama leopard with tiny cubs (hopefully pics soon).
