While photographing Jefferson's Monticello near Charlottesville, VA. I stopped by the nearby Michey Tavern, circa 1797, to take some photos. Some apparitions showed up in broad daylight; I just wonder how many of them actually knew Thomas Jefferson . . .

To add a paranormal twist to these storm photos, neither myself or about 10 other people with me saw anyone on the beach looking in the direction of the storm (north). Yet in several of my photos (but not all) this figure shows up wearing all dark clothing, with perhaps white hair or a white hat (perhaps a boat captain's hat?). The area around him seems to be disturbed, perhaps static electricity--which also appears around the bolts of lightning. This areas is known as the "Graveyard of the Atlantic", because of all the shipwrecks . . .

On the left side of the very haunted George Wythe House, in the light from the church yard, this apparition showed up (just the head). The beard and the hat reminded me of the Civil War period, and the Battle of Williamsburg (some call it the Battle of Fort Magruder).

On the grounds of a plantation where the US presidents' heads are currently at, one of the windows in the antebellum manor revealed a female apparition with eyes closed. I can only wonder what era the dress and hair style is from . . .

Several years ago a former Colonial Williamsburg security guard related a paranormal experience at Chowning's Tavern where he heard a woman being attacked by several men--when he ran to rescue her, no one was there. Later that summer, the name of a woman, "Audrey", as well as the names of her possible attackers came up on the tech device of a man on my tour. Several EVP sessions later, including one by a friend of mine who captured the disembodied screams of a woman at Chowning's, and this woman may have been kidnapped from the premises in 1847. I wonder if these 2 photos are the same woman, and if they are the apparitions of Audrey, the woman attacked and kidnapped from this popular Williamsburg tavern: (The darker photo of the head shot was taken inside Chowning's, the faceless, full-bodied apparition was taken outside at the corner)

2 apparitions walking on Colonial Williamsburg's historic Duke of Gloucester St.; obviously not from the 18th century. The apparition in front looks as if it's in excruciating pain, with an anomalous light or orb on the shoulder.

Also at the shops on the Yorktown waterfront, I captured this female apparition in a dress that appears to be from the 18th or 19th century; I'm puzzled by the light at the small of her back. What do you make of it? (Caught this at a little after midnight during the last full moon.)

At the shops on the Yorktown waterfront, I captured this white apparition sitting at a table with what I can only suppose is an apparition of a drink--and he seems lost in thought. (Caught this at a little after midnight during the last full moon.)

I saw a man come out of the Bruton Parish Church and I took his photo as he rounded the corner-but the photo did not match up with what I saw. My eyes revealed a heavy-set man with a white shirt, but the photo has a blur of white with multiple faces and a large shadow figure covering the lower part of his body. I took another photo a second later and nothing was there! Look at the closeup-notice the multiple faces in both the white area and the dark area of the "apparition"!

The Peyton Randolph House reveals another creepy, dark-eyed apparition, reinforcing my contention that it is one of the most haunted places in the USA. More people on my ghost tour have captured ghosts on their cell phone cameras, and have experienced more anomalies here than any other place in Colonial Williamsburg. BTW, if you look closely, you may see other apparitions trying to appear . . .

When in Yorktown on the night of the February full moon, I photographed the waterfront area, hoping and perhaps expecting that if I got anything, it would be a British soldier from the Revolutionary War battle fought there. Instead I captured this, and could not help but wonder if she was a drowning victim thanks to the infamously strong currents in the York River that have claimed unwitting swimmers.

Loved the colors of the lights reflecting off the York River. This is the Yorktown/Gloucester Bridge, spanning a portion of the York River where many British soldiers drowned as they tried to escape the American/French bombardment during the final battle of the Revolutionary War. As they made a desperate attempt to swim to safety across the York River, a squall came up and the strong currents pulled them under to a watery grave.
