Eclipse 2024 didn’t keep us out of the pool! Our Gold and Platinum groups practiced at First Colony today and took some time to safely watch the big event. Getting to experience the eclipse with your best swim pals AND work towards your goals💪🏼 — all at the same time? Priceless.

Days 1 & 2 of the International Senior Cup in St. Petersburg, FL have provided some terrific lessons and core memories for our 15 athletes! We’re so grateful to the International Swim Coaches Association for hosting the meet and to TYR Sport for outfitting our team. We’re ready for Day 3 of competition! Holly Brundage makes her mark at Senior Champs breaking not only her own Team Record in the Women’s 15-16 200 Backstroke, but also the team Open Record. Congratulations Holly!
With her event winning swim during Finals at Senior Champs, Anna Shnowske claims the Team Record in the Women’s 15-16, 100 Yard Freestyle. At 50.20 seconds, she broke one of 757swim’s longest standing records, previously set by Joelle Vereb at this same meet in 2016!

Congrats to Coach Amy on being selected as the Virginia Swimming Age Group Coach of the Year! We’re so proud of you and grateful for all of your effort, time, and passion!
Let’s get it started! Our high schools groups kicked off the short course season with a two day “retreat” including team bonding, games, discovering your “why” workshop, fun pool time and relays, and a great workshop by Jessica Levin on our team mission, culture and code of conduct for the year. Great way to have fun and put intentional goal setting and positive team culture at the forefront of a great short course season.
Thank you to our volunteers for making this retreat happen!
