To say I know and love Disney is an understatement. I always loved Disney, but when I was 22, I was accepted into the Disney College Program and my life became SO much more Disney centered. Growing up I spent many family vacations in Disneyland (Anaheim) because of family I had in California. But my adult life has been dedicated to the mouses home in Florida. I am about to get my second annual pas

s, and may just have one for the remainder of my life I have been on Disney Cruise Line 4 times (the fifth time will be momentous and hopefully on the only ship I haven't sailed yet), and I had the privilege of getting to experience Disneyland Paris! I am planning my trip to Asia to hit Shanghai, Hong Kong and Tokyo (but saving for that is going to take some time)! My trip to Disneyland Paris was thanks to the Inaugural RunDisney 1/2 marathon. I have run many of the Disney races, and plan to run all of them by the year 2020. So if you are interested at all in those events, I can share my experiences and tips surrounding them with you! I've planned many trips for myself, family and friends and I am looking forward to planning for you too. When I'm not planning Disney trips for myself or for you, I work at a local hospital system in the administration department as a Project Analyst. If you have any questions about any of my experiences, please ask - Disney is in my heart and on my body (I now have 4 Disney tattoos!)

Next restaurant review - Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ We split the fried pickle spears (definitely some of the best I’ve ever had), I had half of the fried chicken breast and 2 bites of the Mac and cheese. The chicken was FANTASTIC - Top Chef Masters Art Smith is a talented southern chef. Nothing about this disappointed me. Would highly recommend anyone go try it out! If you aren’t a big eater, like me, make sure you go with someone who will split the plate. We didn’t have any reservations but the bar had a bunch of openings so we were able to sit right down and jump right in! Reservations highly recommended - they did not have a waitlist available in the app.

Research part 1 - 1900 Park Fare breakfast with Aladdin, Tiana, Mirabel and Cinderella. Breakfast was divine - standout contributors was the cheesy potato casserole, the cheese grits, the bread pudding and the cinnamon pull apart bread. Unfortunately, 1900 took longer to reopen, but I had heard nothing but great things prior to shutdown, and now that it finally reopened I was able to find out for myself!

My first experience with Royal Caribbean was on the Liberty of the seas - what an adventure. Having only cruised with Disney Cruise Line, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It must not have been so bad, we will be testing the waters on Utopia of the Seas later this year in November! There were definitely some minor cons to this trip, but Bermuda was not one of them. I think it is safe to say I still want MORE BERMUDA! As for RC, they had some fun entertainment (although we got a broken set of clues for the mystery game, so it was no surprise we failed our pants off), large pools, flowrider boogie boarding/surging, miniature golf and MORE! Seems like there is something for everyone. Reach out to me directly if you’d like more information or a quote - or maybe you want to join and sail with us in November!

My final day, April 1, concluded with a visit to Animal Kingdom Lodge with other Gina and her family. We dined at Sanaa, watched the animals on the Savannah and played in the pool. is a GREAT restaurant - I have eaten there before and still believe it to be a great restaurant - the bread service is divine! I had not been to the pool at Kidani Village before, but now I have been to both and can tell you all about them before booking you a trip with a room at ! I may have to put this resort back on my list of resorts to visit in the near future - which resort is your favorite?

I had started recapping my Easter research trip posts, but wound up with a concussion and had to take a media break - I have been back to normal for a bit, but wanted to take some time to finish up my posts. Let’s talk Disney VIP tours! Thanks to my amazing friend and client , I was able to join her family and our tour guide Mark for an Easter Sunday filled with fun! It was a 10 hour tour, all 4 parks, 13 rides, two stops for quick service and private firework viewing complete with Mickey bars. I would HIGHLY recommend doing a tour if you are trying to squeeze in as much as possible in one day. Tours range in price from $450 - $900 per hour with a minimum of 7 hours (10 maximum) which is good for up to 10 guests. In my opinion, this is one of the only ways I will ever watch fireworks (at least with a central castle view) again! Please reach out for more details for pricing during your planned trip and any additional questions.

Dining Research Continued! Talk about a HIDDEN GEM!!! Initially we had a reservation at Ale & Compass, but after a server told us how good Sebastian’s was, we snagged a last minute reservation to try something NEW! Andrea got the carnivore plate and I got the plant-based plate and my god was everything just SO DANG GOOD! Yet another restaurant I will talk up to my guests - especially ones staying at Caribbean Beach - it was so worth the money charged and it is family style so you can get more if you finish what they give you! And also - ask for Mac & Cheese - it’s not on the menu, but it was yummy!

What a LOVELY breakfast at on Easter Weekend. I had the vegetarian Al Forno Eggs as recommended by our server and I regret NOTHING. A “side” of Mickey waffles for $5 and you got 2, we couldn’t have been more pleased. 10 out of 10 would absolutely recommend and will be telling my clients about my experience so they can consider it too! And with it being on the boardwalk, it’s easy to get to from any Boardwalk resorts or skyliner resorts!

What a fun way to end my first day in Florida over Easter break watching Epcot Fireworks from the balcony of my room. This is definitely a reason to choose a water view room over a resort view room. I was on the 3rd floor and i think that enhanced my view as well. 10 out of 10 - would recommend!

I had the privilege of staying at Easter weekend for a load of research! Research part one was the hotel itself. I have not stayed there before and am on a mission to stay at every resort to offer you the best information about resort options! The Yacht Club was gorgeous. pool was so much fun. Access to Hollywood Studios and Epcot are a simple walk, boat or skyliner ride away.

Research goals for my most recent sailing on the Disney Magic - transportation to and from the port, port Galveston, port progresso, and anything new on the ship

For our trip to Port Galveston - since we were staying in Houston, Disney Transfers were not convenient so we took an Uber - our driver was nice, and the ride was about an hour and cost around $60 - our trip was later than usual since boarding didn’t begin until around 3p. Upon arrival in Galveston, we got on line with our bags, curb checked one bag, got through security and on the ship within 30 minutes - it was a fantastic process! Port progresso was nice - our initial intentions were to go into town, as there was a free shuttle at the dock to take you there (you cannot walk into town, it’s too far) but we decided there was so much shopping right at the dock, we just did that. So while I cannot speak to the town itself, i can say we easily spent an hour just browsing the stores and finding things we needed that we did not need 😂😂😂 we were able to enjoy some time in the sun on the boat while people were off on excursions. We did take advantage of the disney transfer back to the airport (they only offer IAH transfers) and it was a great option. Although not disney themed like the cruise line buses in Orlando to Port Canaveral, they were comfy and in over an hour we were back at the airport to say adios to Texas. My BIGGEST regret is that I did not have a checked bag to bring home a bottle of Mexican Tequila - they don’t lie - the Tequila there is different and so much better than anything in the states. I could have just sipped it on ice! Overall - it was an extremely successful research trip!

The last bit of fun had in Houston was at the - i could make multiple posts about what a great zoo it was. They have a HUGE area for the elephants and they have workers/volunteers all over the place talking to you about the animals. If you are ever in the area, or going on a cruise out of Galveston, this is a must visit in my opinion. Our hotel had a shuttle that offered free transportation within 3 mile radius, which the zoo was almost exactly 3 miles away, so we were able to get there and back with the shuttle. Had to wait a bit once we were done our time at the zoo, but not much. I think we easily spent 3 hours there - would visit again!

Travel Planner advice for the day - if you ever fly budget airlines, the is a fantastic investment (check Amazon) - the seat has to have a tray table for it to work, but then it creates a pocket for all your things!

Houston Rodeo - finale! So - the cool thing about the Houston Rodeo is that it comes with a concert. After they wrap the Rodeo events, an artist comes out and plays for an hour and a half-ish. Unfortunately, we did not know the artist, but he was a decent country star with a very unique voice and bare feet 😂 - it was Oliver Anthony - it was a great way to end our Rodeo portion of our visit to Houston!

Part 1 of Houston Research trip - The Houston Rodeo!! Staying at the was a fantastic call - we were in walking distance to Target, Olive Garden and the Rodeo itself at the - another great thing about the hotel is that it had a free shuttle - it took us to a local Mexican restaurant for dinner Monday night, and the Houston Zoo (more to come on that) Wednesday. The Rodeo grounds have SO MUCH to see - we went for about 2/3 hours but honestly if we wanted to see it all, we would have needed to be closer to 4 hours - the more you know!
