We are a non-profit organization raising money to benefit the library and community of La Pintada, Panama.

In the summer of 2010, a group of eight high school students traveled on an AFS community service trip to La Pintada, Panama. It was an incredible experience, to say the least, and we all left with an incredible connection to the community and people of La Pintada. While we were in La Pintada, we worked to fix a public library in the town. The library was small and in need of repair. One of the most surprising and saddening things about the library was that it was nearly empty. We returned seeking to make a difference, and to better the community of La Pintada.
