The spiral staircase was one of my favorite things about this house! However, they were not practical, or safe, honestly lol. Kenny has been working hard on building new stairs and taking out the drywall downstairs! We uncovered some windows to allow more natural light and better views in the bedroom area! I'm so excited for what's to come! 😍🤗

A little before and after of the kitchen cabinets! 😍 The bottom doors are drying and we had to order some replacement drawers. I am loving how much this has brightened the whole place up, but I am so over working on these damn cabinets! 😂

A view of the downstairs / current bedroom area! We have a LOT to do down here, as well as the upstairs, but we are making progress! 🤗

We are going to take the drywall out downstairs to open it up and fingers crossed 🤞🏻 be able to add a toilet and sink in the washer/dryer area!

This weekend we are working on sanding down the cabinets in the kitchen and painting! More updates coming soon!! 😁

Shew!! 🤪 It has been a hectic few months and we hope everyone had a great holiday season!! Now that things have slowed down, we are full speed ahead on renovations here at The Toasted Marshmellow!! 🛠🧰

We finished the top cabinet doors! 😍 We still have some work to do but I am so happy with the progress! 🙌🏻

We have been SO busy enjoying the last few weeks of Summer and working hard on getting the cabinets finished in the kitchen!! 🙌🏻 All I have to say is, thank God for Citristrip paint stripper, otherwise I'd still be sanding my first door with all the layers of paint on these bad boys! 🥵

There has been a lot of trial and error, trying to figure out what I wanted to do with these doors and my non-creative ass trying to make it work! 😂 But I think I've finally got it, so here is a sneak peek! 😍

Kenny and Drew have been busting their asses this hot weekend to get the railing up on the deck (this is just the beginning, from yesterday)! I can't wait to show you all the finished project! 😍

We have been SO busy working on getting the deck secured and cleaned up! We also installed a new back splash and light in the kitchen, and got the TV mounted!! 😍

We rented a dumpster to get ride of SO MUCH JUNK between the Mellow and our home and it feels GREAT! 🙌🏻

Slowly but surely, progress is being made!! 🤘🏻💪🏼

What's the hold up for renting The Toasted Marshmellow out!? 🤔 This big deck!! It's my favorite part of the house, but needs some serious work.

With that being said, until we can get it completely rebuilt and structurally sound, we will not be renting for events during construction, for the safety of our guests. Kenny has been working hard to get us ready but these dang lumber prices and shortages are a real pain in the ass! 😤

We can't wait to share this amazing view with you all, once it's safe! 😍

We have a busy week ahead of us as we prepare to host a bridal shower / girls night this Saturday for a very dear friend of ours! 💍 Want to come check the place out or offer a helping hand!? I am not a creative person, but I do not like the color of the cabinets in the kitchen! What would YOU do in this kitchen!? 🤔

We are currently working on painting the big bay windows that overlook a breathtaking view of the woods behind Cowan Lake! Kenny has been working hard on securing and removing the storage space under the deck to turn it into a patio area! 😍
