A visit to London is not complete without stopping by Buckingham Palace for a spot of tea with HRM King Charles and his court. For just under 40 British pounds, you can tour the state rooms at Buckingham Palace too. If you’re looking for an inexpensive alternative, I recommend walking along St. James Park. There’s plenty to see and do that won’t break the bank.

TRAVEL TIP — Do you have older British notes (Pounds/currency) laying around? If so, they may not be accepted any longer. And unfortunately, you cannot exchange them in US banks. No worries. If you are planning a trip to the UK 🇬🇧, bring them with you and carve out a bit of time to visit the Bank of England. You will need to get there early (I recommend arriving at the time they open). You’ll line up outside of the bank. Getting inside will take time as security is tighter than Fort Knox. Once entrance is granted, you may have to fill out some forms and present two forms of ID to the teller. The process will take a bit of time. Have patience. The good news is you will exit with usable British currency!

Safety and The Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 (DR).
I just returned from a fun filled trip exploring parts of the DR including two fantastic all-inclusive resorts — Nickelodeon Punta Cana and Margaritaville Island Reserve. Both properties (Karisma Resorts) provide exceptional amenities, service, and accommodations.

But the question I hear often, “Is the DR safe?”
Based on my experience, it is extremely safe for travelers. The police are visible (as you will see from the photos below). The people are some of the nicest I have met. The look out for their guests with care and comfort.

Trust me. I have traveled the world. I felt more safe visiting the DR than I do spending time in certain US cities.

From the moment you deplane to the moment you arrive to your destination, the generous citizens of the DR do not disappoint! They are kind and want you to have a memorable and positive time in their beautiful country!

More from Margaritaville Island Reserve (because we can’t get enough)!
The room/suites are large. They charge by the room per night. All-inclusive experience with some exceptions (like a really fancy dinner option at $150 per person — chef dinner with tastings). I HIGHLY recommend this resort for a tranquil, relaxed, and fun escape. Prices are excellent in my option. It’s a GREAT time to travel 🧳! Call/text me at (302) 559-6667. Stop the presses! If you seek an all-inclusive escape to a new and exciting resort with white sandy beaches and clear, crisp pools, then I have the place for you! Margaritaville Island Reserve in Punta Cana is THE spot!My visit there today was exceptional! I have visited many resort properties, but this one is certainly at the top! It is 15 minutes from the Punta Cana airport too. Take the first flight out of Philly and you will be basking in the sun by the early afternoon!

I have arrived to Punta Cana. My trip from Philly took 3 hours and only a few minutes more before we landed in 100 degree heat! Yep. It’s hot in the DR! So far, so good. If you ever thought about staying at an all-inclusive resort with your kids, then Nickelodeon Punta Cana just might be the place for you! More posts and pics to follow!

Btw, when you go through Passport Control, they actually stamp your passport. This hasn’t happened for me in a while — especially in Europe. So that’s a win! Love getting a stamp!
