3 kayaks for sale.
Each comes with a paddle, water shoes, a water-resistant backpack, and pouches for phones, keys, etc.
The 2 blue ones are $350.
The red one is $330.
This is EVERYTHING needed to go straight to the water and start exploring. These are worth well over $400 if priced out.
Each one has a storage spot in the center console.
These are perfect begginer kayaks and will get you anywhere you want to go in the Wilmington area.
I've only used one of the blue ones once just to test it out. Otherwise, they're like new.

I paddled out to Masonboro yesterday to see what the storm churned up and I found all kinds of things.
I found some things I’ve never seen before and a couple of things that I’m not even sure what they are.

Making up a few more bags and headed to the post office this afternoon.
I have some left if anyone is in need of a last minute gift, or stocking stuffer, for the fossil and beachcomber on your list.

I will also have limited (special edition) gift bags with these echinoderms (sea biscuits).
These are the oldest fossils I have and are pretty rare. They are only found in Holden Beach, NC, and started washing ashore after a fossil pocket was hit during some dredging.
They are in the sand dollar family and date back 60-70 million yeqrs,, from the late Cretaceous Period.
Gift bags will also include a random mix sea glass, fossilized bone, colonial clay, coral, tube worm colony rock, scallop or olive shell, and possibly a shark tooth.
I will pre make the bags or let you choose your mix.
Bags are $30.
Shipping available. Venmo accepted.

Need some oyster or clam shells for decoupage, ornaments, or trinket holders?
I have a lot in many different sizes.
I also have a variety of other items I’ve found for sale that would be good for fish tanks, terrariums, gardens, and more.

My attempt at a shark tooth/fossil/sea glass Christmas tree.
These are some of my best teeth I’ve found over the years, that are 20 million plus years old.
The sea biscuits are echinoderms, that are from the late Cretaceous period, dating back 60-70 million years old, found on Holden Beach after dredging.
The “presents” at the bottom are a mix of sea glass, including a piece of pirate glass (3rd from the right) that dates back up to 300 years.
The purple and white pieces are Wampum, which was one of the first forms of Native American currency, made from quahog clam shells.

An absolute perfect day for a low tide paddle around Wrightsville Beach.
Low tide is when more things are exposed, like live shells, and the perfect hunting time for blue herons and egrets.
I found two, huge, live, *Horse Conch, which are rare for the Carolina’s, as they prefer warmer waters.
Also found lots of live sea urchins, literally hundreds, which I’ve never seen before.

I paddled out to Masonboro today and had the island to myself:
Found a nice mix of things, including this Federal Law piece of sea glass. These were stamped on bottles after prohibition to try and stop the reproduction of alcohol. These were on bottles dating 1935-1965.

“In general, the symbolism of blue herons is solitude, independence, honor, and virtuousness. Blue herons also represent inner peace, introspection, and individuality.”

Blue herons are remarkable animals that have deep spiritual significance. Read this in-depth guide to learn about their meaning and symbolism.

Nice morning paddle island hopping in the Cape Fear, and to Shark Tooth Island.
Found some decent teeth for the river, along with a hag stone, and a rock with what feels like an imprint of something.
Also watched the Mona Lisa cargo ship headed out to sea.

Took a break from the coast enjoying a few nights camping, and kayaking in Uwharrie National Forest
There should be some good shelling after the weekend with the tropical storm passing through.
I’ll be going out to Masonboro Island, Monday, to see what treasures may have washed ashore.
Message me if you’d like like to reserve a spot on this tour.

Early morning solo paddle out to Masonboro Island, and I had my best shelling day of the year.
Seems like Hurricane Lee may be churning things up a bit.
I found a nice Angustiden shark tooth, which is the ancestor of the Megalodon, dating back 22-33 million years.
Also found a nice variety of whelk shells, along with some sea glass, wampum, coral, and a huge chunk of a tube worm colony.

I’m looking to take my hobby of 7 years, to help others find something priceless, such as their first shark tooth, piece of sea glass, fossil, artifact, or just enjoying nature up close and personal. I’ll show you the best parts of the Wilmington area.
I will be specializing in small group excursions, of 1 to 4 people. Great for those that don’t want to go out with a group of strangers, want to go alone, with your partner, friend, or family member(s).
These trips can vary depending on your interests, kayaking skills, preference of day, times, and more.
Trips will include Masonboro Island, which is best for shelling, fossils, birding, and simply enjoying nature on a pristine 8 mile long barrier island.
Other trips include Shark Tooth Island in the Cape Fear River, Greenfield Lake, Palm Tree Island, and around the Wrightsville Beach area.
I’ll teach how to understand the tides, winds, when not to go out, and the basics to staying safe on the water.
I’ll also be offering basic kayak lessons on small pond, and beach combing “classes” on the beach, to help understand what to look for, when to look, and the variety of things that can be found on our local beaches.
