And that’s a wrap on 2024 ✨

What an incredible year it has been! I started this year with a big goal to continue sharing my passion for being a Travel Advisor, and I’m ending it with a heart overflowing with gratitude and joy. Whether you entrusted me with planning your vacation to somewhere magical or simply followed along for tips and inspiration, your support in 2024 has meant the world. Helping families and friends create unforgettable memories has been a true joy, and I cannot wait to see where your adventures take you in the new year!

Welcome to the world, Theodore “Teddy” Cass Godwin 💙

Our little Christmas baby, who decided to arrive a few weeks early, made his grand entrance on December 6th at 12:57 AM, weighing 5 lbs 13 oz and measuring 18.5” long.

Theodore means “gift of God,” and he truly is our little miracle—an answer to prayers after years of trying to grow our family. His middle name, Cass, honors my mother’s maiden name and all the wonderful people who carry it along her side of the family tree.

Before we even knew he was a boy or had a name in mind, Max lovingly referred to his sibling as his “Teddy Bear,” and it felt only right that “Teddy” would be the perfect nickname for our Theodore.

We’re so grateful and overjoyed to finally have our littlest boy with us, and we can’t wait to watch him grow into the person he is meant to become!

Thinking about a vacation to Disney World or Disneyland at some point in 2025? While it can be tempting to wait around and see if “new promotions” pop up, I want to encourage you to get that trip booked early rather than later.

Why? Great question! ✨

1️⃣ Availability: Resorts and room types sell out. The more specific of a room you are looking for (i.e. water view, multi-room Villas, etc.) the lower the inventory will be the longer you wait to book. By booking early you have a wider range of options to fit your family dynamics and budget.

2️⃣ Lower Prices: The fact is that Disney runs on dynamic pricing. The closer you get to your travel dates and the more rooms book up, the higher the price becomes. By booking as early as possible, you’re locking in a lower price than you would 6 months from now. And the BEST PART?! You don’t have to wait for promotions to come out! Should one be announced that matches your travel dates and package details, I will go in a retroactively apply the discount to your package. Meaning you’re saving more money because you booked 6 months ago at an already lower price than someone who waited to book at the promotional price.

3️⃣ Upgrades: Often times with promotions comes the chance to upgrade your room while still saving money. I always prioritize my currently booked clients and their room upgrade options before working on new client quotes.

4️⃣ Payments: The great thing about Disney is the option to make payments. A $200 deposit is due at time of booking but after that you don’t owe the remainder until 30 days before your arrival. When booking early, you have more time to make payments along the way for your vacation should you want to!

5️⃣ Time to Plan: Last but not least, booking early gives you more time to plan! More time to ask me questions and learn what is going to be best for your family dynamic. More time to firm up your desires for dining reservations. More time to feel confident in your Disney knowledge before walking into the parks.

Time to head back to Walt Disney World tonight but this time for a work trip with several of my favorite people! Walt Disney World is hosting several agents from Kingdom Elite Travel and I get the honor to represent our agency while soaking in all the magic of Disney ✨

Don't be fooled: just because I consider myself a Disney Vacation Pro now, doesn't mean I always knew what I was doing. In fact, our first WDW vacation with our son 3 years ago was wonderful but it was a big, big learning curve. Taking a little to Disney was a lot different than the adult only trips we had done previously.

Here are the top 5 mistakes we made on our first Walt Disney World trip as a family that we’ve made sure to not make since:

1️⃣ No rest days or mid-day breaks
2️⃣ Spent too much money on new clothes
3️⃣ No stroller identification
4️⃣ Two sit-down meals in a day
5️⃣ Thought the rooms had an actual mini fridge
