📣🎉Gosh I’ve been meaning to share this for a long time! We’re expecting Beach baby #3 sometime THIS WEEK 😯!!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted. SkipTown is still here, thank you all for continuing to follow along! I have been really focusing on my family, but know that I’m still here ❤️ I very much appreciate those that have booked trips in the distant future… gives me plenty of time to plan! I’ll be taking a little break while we welcome our newest traveler into the world… don’t worry though, I won’t leave you hanging 😉 and will let you know when he’s touched down ✈️ earth side! Xo 😘

⁉️FAQ⁉️ Are food + activities included in my SkipTown budget??

Love this question! Simple answer is…maybe! I love booking extras for you. Some of my favorite activities I’ve planned so far for travelers have been walking food tours 🍲, kayak adventures 🛶. couples massages 💆‍♀️ and of course restaurant reservations at the hottest spots! It really depends on your budget and if there is leftover. Transportation and accommodations are guaranteed, and then after the SkipTown service fee what is left goes entirely toward activities! When you fill out your survey you can list what you enjoy doing and I’ll do my best to plan it for you. ✅ ✨ easiest vacation ever! ✨

It is a ✨magical✨ world, pack up your kids and get exploring. It can be hard. They will drive you crazy. But it’s worth it!

Hey listen, I’m supposed to be packing our bags for a family vacation this Memorial Day weekend, 🚗 but I’m struggling. F**k. 😡 😢 Nineteen families should be doing the same today. I cannot even begin to imagine this life without my boys in it. They are my travel companions throughout… and I just have no words. So as I pack our bags for a family vacation I cry… sad tears for those families… and happy tears that I’ve got my boys close. More so than ever I just want to pack up and get to exploring…. 🧭 🌎 Not all classrooms have four walls. Is a traditional classroom where I want my babies to be?

⁉️FAQ⁉️Let’s get real for a minute and talk 💸💸budget.

You’ve peeped a SkipTown getaway, and now you want to know how much it’s going to cost. How do you choose a budget?…

👉There are many variables that go into budget choice. The budget, along with your survey, are the major determining factors for your destination, accommodations, and your method of transportation. 👉Due to several different variables, we cannot say exactly what will come with each different budget level, BUT, we can provide examples and recommendations.

👉✌️Two main things to keep in mind when choosing your budget are travel dates (are you thinking of traveling over a major holiday weekend like Memorial Day?) and your departure location. If there are fewer flight/train options nearby, or you are wanting to travel over a busy weekend, we recommend choosing a higher budget ($800+/person). Some things are just out of SkipTown’s hands!

👉Here’s an example: Say you choose a budget of $600 per person and are flying out of Denver International Airport. It’s unlikely you would skip town to the Florida Keys and stay in an all-inclusive resort. You may however fly to Chicago…or maybe even Seattle… or possibly San Francisco…for your getaway and stay in a boutique hotel! A fun foodie tour, or other type of activity would likely be included if you’re into that sort of thing!

⁉️FAQ⁉️➡️🌎 Where are you sending me?

If we told you that would spoil the surprise!

Having said that, the part of the secret we can let you in on is that we send clients to a variety of places around the United States, ranging from larger urban cities to mid-size towns. A lot of what plays a role in determining your destination has to do with departure location and survey response. Typical transit times are between 2-4 hours for air and up to 6 hours for road trips.

Don't worry though- we will not send you anywhere truly remote. No matter where your SkipTown getaway takes you, there will always be more than enough fun to be had to keep you busy for your 3- or 4-day vacation!

Does anyone else you find themselves craving experiences and making memories over material things? 👋 I remember reading a kids book that goes something along the lines of a mom continually saying “someday”; “someday we’ll ____. And then one day the child says, “but mom, SOMEday is not on the calendar….” ❤️

“The life you have led doesn’t need to be the only life you have.” I guess my point is that you can make life, and the holiday season, what you want it to be.

This week I sent out cheesy keychains to my past travelers to share a funny tradition my husband and I have. We collect keychains from the places that we visit and use them as ornaments 😆 it’s a fun way to reflect on where we have been as the year draws to a close! To me, travel is experiencing things beyond the usual and is consistently challenging, exciting, and fulfilling.
