Love this work on my Birthday feeling art!

Jadé Fadojutimi received a master’s degree in painting seven years ago, and since then has become one of the most prominent “ultra-contemporary” artists—a term that the art market has coined to designate practitioners born after 1974. Her paintings have been acquired by numerous international institutions, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Walker Art Center, and the Tate. In 2022, when she was still not yet 30 years old, she was included in the Venice Biennale. This month Fadojutimi will have her first solo show in New York.

Fadojutimi’s paintings are large in scale: some of her canvases are 10 feet high and 16 feet wide, and she has gone even bigger. Within these ambitious dimensions, she creates intricate works that shimmer on the boundary between abstract and figurative. Amid vibrant gashes, iridescent arcs, and urgent lines, a viewer may discern the contours of leaves, flowers, butterfly wings, waves, or suns. “But Fadojutimi’s swirling images seem to capture a state of mind as much as they do a state of nature,” Rebecca Mead writes. “They are always energetic, and sometimes ecstatic, blooming into color and motion and light.” Read a profile of the artist, whose work is inspired by emotion, anime, and music: https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/eRL4y-

I enjoy the transformative power of art.
By sharing my insights on the creative process, I inspire others to embrace their own identities and express the depths of their artistic potential.

If you can support my journey, take a look and decide if a work of art is a good fit for your collection.

These two works from 2Holbein Artist Materialsexperimentation happened before my partnership with Holbein Artist Materials. It’s a great relationship from a family run business who is supporting my artists retreat with materials. I am so grateful.

In the studio early preparing for Miami! On the walls are reflections of past creations. All have the installation of a curated experience in paint. I draw from them all as I bring new life into the interactions of touching lightly on the surface.

If you are looking for some new art here is an option. DM me for details!

Jean Cherouny has an artistic background and experiences in the art world that span the past 30 years. As an artist, gallerist and mural tour guide with a history of art education, she undoubtedly brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her work.
Jean has been involved in various art-related activities, from curating and organizing artists to showcasing her own artwork in galleries worldwide. She has sold her rollerblade art and performed live in the street during the Aruba Art Fair in 2021. Street art seems to have captivated her interest since 2010 in graduate school in Vermont.

Now she lives in Aruba and is eager to grow people's curiosity in understanding the bigger picture of art in their lives. When she met Tito Bolivar, the director of ArtisA Gallery, she saw this opportunity to grow a living in a new community of San Nicolas where she showcases her paintings. Her work is also found on Saatchi and Artfinder. Check out her website at https://www.jeancherounyfineart.com

It's wonderful to see Jean's passion for new artists' communities, as she has dedicated a significant portion of her career to participating in art fairs, teaching art, working in galleries and residencies abroad. These experiences not only taught her to provide opportunities for artists to connect and collaborate but also contribute to the growth and development of the art world as a whole.

Diptych Stripes
Acrylic on Canvas
20x20x1.5"

Stripes are many things. I remember my corduroy bell bottoms from the 1970's. I had a s**g haircut, braces and my favorite hat that said, "Dyn-o-mite". That's a memory of Jimmy JJ Walker's powerful legacy. There were other times when the groomed trails of the ski slope became embedded in my head-a pattern that shows up in my paintings now. There is also another reason to paint stripes in my own way. I have a history of being an American and that goes deep. Art history has had its cast of the stripers, Sean Scully, Jasper Johns to name a few.

These few paintings became available after being in NYC. I made them in Aruba where I am right now. If you are interested in them please DM me.

I just made a huge decision. I am purging all my artwork in Vermont. It’s time to move on and accept my new and current art life in Aruba.

The pieces are going between 1-2 tomorrow, Wed the 25 th.

Anyone who knows me or owns a business could have any art if they contact me before 11 am tomorrow.

How do I feel making this decision? I feel relived. In the course of making accurate and detailed digital records now and moving on to greener pastures. Peace. 💕❤️🤛🏼

Here's how to do If you are thinking of getting off FB because of the volume of sales ads and trash stuff. So hold your finger anywhere in this post and click ′copy’. Go to your page where it says ‘What's on your mind?’ Tap your finger anywhere in the blank field. Click paste. This upgrades the system.
