We spent an amazing weekend relaxing at the Beach Club, and this is apparently the only picture we took. 💙🤣

The boys were there, I promise! They did go back to the room to “rest” (code for “watch YouTube I’m sure 🤦🏻‍♀️), giving us some kid-free time.

🐍We finally made it Hollywood Studios to check out the Indiana Jones Den of Destiny!

If you’re a fan of the Man in the Hat like my family, you need to check out this limited-time pop-up experience. The bar is small serving three signature cocktails and a couple beer options, and the props, costumes and other memorabilia are a lot of fun to take in.

We tried all three signature cocktails. I enjoyed my Adventuress Margarita, Logan loved the non-alcoholic L’Atlantique Green Tea, and Chris proclaimed The Weathered Fedora the best drink he’s ever had.

Check it out at Hollywood Studios now until Aug. 15th!

Happy Birthday to the one who started it all.

Walt always said it all started with a mouse, but it really all started with a man. A man who had a dream and dogged it until he made it come true. Despite hardships, bankruptcy, and failures he never gave up. With the help of his brother Roy, Walt built a kingdom of dreams that still resonates today, almost 100 years after forming, and 121 years after his birth.

So happy birthday Walt Disney. Thank you for believing in the power of dreams.

No, actually it is you. I wanted to love you. I tried to love you. After all, you’re a beautiful Disney coffee in a pretty cup. But, it’s what’s on the inside that counts and beneath your pretty outward appearance you’re just plain nasty.

18 years ago I married this guy, and life has never been better.

He embraced my unapologetic love of Disney and moved halfway across the country so I could pursue my dreams. We have two beautiful kiddos, a crazy dog, and a life that keeps us running allllll the time. I wouldn’t change it for the world.

“Our library is well-stocked with priceless first editions — only ghost stories, of course — and marble busts of the greatest ghost writers the literary world has ever known. They have all retired here, to the Haunted Mansion.”

I’ll admit it - I live for the moments when an attraction stops and I’m able to get a solid picture! I actually hope for it when I ride Haunted Mansion. 🤣 Usually I get stuck between scenes, but last time got lucky with a brief pause in the library!

Tell me I’m not alone. Do you ever hope to get briefly stuck just for the photo op?

Greeting from Orlando, post Hurricane Ian

Thank you so much to those that reached out to check on us, and for all the thoughts and prayers.

We are about 12 miles from Magic Kingdom, and our area saw very minor damage - mostly downed trees. Just a little further in most directions the situation is a lot worse.

We were supposed to check in to Fort Wilderness tomorrow for Connor’s 13th birthday. Obviously that’s not happening and Disney called and moved us to Riverside. We’ll salvage the weekend and still have fun. Connors hoping to still be able to do some fishing from the Riverside dock.

I know that a lot of others have had their vacations impacted in much larger ways. I know it’s frustrating when things like this happen, and I ask you to please be kind to your travel agents, Disney Cast Members, Universal Team Members who are doing their best to get your vacation addressed. Remember, they are helping you while still trying to assess damage to their own homes and impact to their families. Choose kindness.

Also keep the clean up crews, emergency responders and all the other people working around the clock to get thing back up and running in your thoughts and prayers.

Oh, and Happy National Coffee Day!

🍴 Can we talk about one of my favorite Disney Dining destinations? 🍴

Enzo’s Hideaway, located at , is my go-to for quality pasta, fabulous cocktails and unique atmosphere.

This isn’t your average theme park Italian spot. The pasta dishes here are always perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. They have an excellent charcuterie board, and great appetizers and desserts. Plus, their cocktail and wine menu is top notch.

The atmosphere is also unique. The design of Enzo’s Hideaway inspired by a 1930s-era speakeasy. Its tucked away into the base of a staircase near STK, and a storied rum-runner tunnel connects it to Maria & Enzo’s. The first time you’re directed to the restroom you’ll wonder if you’re in the right place 🤣.

Enzo’s Hideaway is a cozy space with a story to tell with food at it’s heart.

🎃 A blond, a redhead and a brunette walked into a Halloween party and cast a spell on you. 🎃

, and I had a blast at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party last night!

We encountered the Headless Horseman, a few pirates, the ghost of Lady Cordelia, and the Sanderson Sisters. Caught the Boo to You Parade twice, did some trick-or-treating, and missed most of the fireworks.

After a two year hiatus due to the pandemic it was so nice to welcome the party back to Magic Kingdom!

My little Logan turned 7 today!

We celebrated him all weekend with a staycation at Animal Kingdom Lodge and a fun day at Animal Kingdom.

His goals for the weekend were to swim, eat at Sanaa, play the games in Dinoland, ride Dinosaur and ride Kilimanjaro Safari.

While he didn’t win his goal prize at the Dino games (we’re going to need to enlist your boys 🤣), he did win a small Mickey and triceratops, and then we got SOAKED on the Safari.

It was a wonderful weekend celebrating our little guy. ❤️

🎂 It’s my birthday today! 🎂

We spent the weekend celebrating at Hollywood Studios and Epcot since we all had work and school today, and had the best time! We enjoyed lots of good food, low crowds, decent temperatures and quality time together.
