Typically, guests arrive by car via I-70/Berthoud Pass. However, a car is not required in Winter Park to enjoy the area. Local shuttle companies operate from Denver International Airport to the Iron Horse Resort. Additionally, Amtrak offers year 'round service to Fraser, CO (a 10 minute bus ride to Iron Horse) and winter seasonal service to the Winter Park Resort base.

The Iron Horse Resort is a ski-to/ski-from resort near the Winter Park Resort base area in the town of Winter Park, Colorado. Each studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom suite is individually owned while the feature-rich community if managed by the Iron Horse Home Owners Association. Individual units can be rented on a nightly and weekly basis though common providers including VRBO, Trip Advisor, FlipKey, AirBnB, or directly through individual owners. Some units are managed by local property management companies that offer rental options. The Iron Horse Resort includes many features that will make your stay enjoyable. Amenities include; a heated indoor/outdoor pool, hot tubs, sauna/steam room, on-site spa services, game room, slopeside ski lockers, ski rental shop, gas grills, gazebo/picnic area, pond/stream, underground parking garage, and free local shuttle run by the Town of Winter Park.
