Meet Alison
Today is #ColoradoGivesDay, and we’re excited to share a glimpse of the incredible adaptive sports and outdoor programs that the NSCD provides! From skiing and snowboarding to biking, rafting, and climbing, our programs offer life-changing experiences that open up the outdoors to people of all abilities.
Every gift today helps keep these programs affordable, provides specialized equipment, and funds scholarships so that cost is never a barrier. With your support, individuals with disabilities can explore new possibilities, build confidence, and experience the joy of nature.
Your gift goes further thanks to a $1 Million+ Incentive Fund! Together, let’s Open Up Possibilities for people of all abilities: coloradogives.org/organization/nscd

When Skiing Meets Music
This #GivingTuesday, meet Garrett! 💙 Garrett joined the NSCD for a family ski lesson, and he brought his love for music to the slopes! With the help of his instructor Pam, who’s also a music therapist, Garrett had a one-of-a-kind lesson crafted just for him. Pam created a personalized song that encouraged Garrett to
stay focused and motivated as he skied, transforming music into a powerful tool for learning and joy.
Your #GivingTuesday gift makes these personalized experiences possible for more participants like Garrett. Together, let’s Open Up Possibilities for adaptive sports that empower and inspire:

year old with Down Syndrome builds confidence through adaptive skiing Volunteer adaptive ski instructors teach 6 year old with Down Syndrome
With Thanksgiving approaching, we’re grateful for the transformative power of adaptive sports.💙 As a 6-year-old with Down Syndrome and congenital heart disease, Ben has made huge strides both on and off the slopes since his first adaptive ski lesson. He has gained independence, strength, and confidence in his everyday life. The bonds he’s formed with our team have sparked incredible growth in his speech and social skills. Best of all, Ben’s family now shares the joy of skiing together—a dream they never thought they’d realize.
Help open up possibilities for more NSCD participants like Ben by donating today. Every dollar helps ensure that our year-round, outdoor programs are accessible to ALL individuals with disabilities!
