Want to hear the lowdown on trolls? Apparently, in Old Norse lore, these guys hang out in mountains, rocks, and caves, often living with their relatives (talk about family bonding!), and are rarely considered helpful or friendly, but we met some and they were total sweethearts - they even let us take some snaps and selfies! We had an absolute blast exploring and chillin' in the gorgeous Gardens. We're the perfect spot to stay if you wanna take a day trip and indulge in some fairytale magic - and who knows, you might just start believing in the stories again! Wondering how syrup is made? It’s a real tree-mendous process! Maine’s maple sugar producers, also known as sugar houses or shacks, tap into maple trees, collect the sap, and boil it down to produce homemade maple syrup. They open their doors to the public on the fourth weekend in March each year, offering demonstrations, tours, and samplings. And if you can’t make it, you can always order from the farms - it’s the next best thing to tapping into a maple tree yourself! What an amazing experience! These dogs are so smart, strong and affectionate. Such a great, unique experience. Our sled guide (owner) was so great at answering all our questions. These dogs are obviously well taken care of and love their job!
