It’sDiana Cook Thank you Heidi for taking pictures today. Ryan always tells me that I need to take pictures and I always forget to!! Thank you so much Band your whole team for putting this event together! And also to everyone that donated stuff for the raffle. The support from everyone has been so incredibly kind. Also, thank you to every fishing team that showed up today!! This tournament has been UNBELIEVABLY helpful to our son Joseph Martens and I try not to stress as much about this situation. I got teared up a couple times but then I remembered how happy and loved Ryan would feel to have so many people that love him so much show up to help us. Thank you to EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU!
This is not the last tournament that will be put in Ryan Cook Fishing and Guide Service Ryan Cook name(still thinking on which organizations the funds will go to) but I know Ryan’s legacy and passion to helping others will continue to be an inspiration to everyone.Bryan Cox

The bottom right, Ryan gave this to me on my birthday. I can’t look at it without tears in my eyes and also smiles on my face.
Ryan’s service and celebration of life is scheduled for January 22nd from 11:00-4:00 at Yosemite Church in Merced. Thank you all for your support and prayers for all of us. I feel like I keep saying the same thing over and over- that even putting this together, it still doesn’t feel Ryan Cook Fishing and Guide Service Ryan Cook you will ALWAYS be the love of my life until we meet again.

It’s Diana Cook- I just realized that I’ve posted my husbands condition and updates on his personal facebook but not his business one(I tagged him but he’s always been better at this stuff). I’m sure a lot of you have heard but…
On 12/28/23 at 4:52 pm, Ryan Cook took his last breath. His parents,sister and I made the hardest decision to let him rest in peace, He was taken off of the medication that was there to try to help him heel and the breathing tube and he was given medication so he could rest peacefully. I asked the nurse if I could sit on his bed and lay with him and cuddle with him for the last time while he took his last breath and it was allowed. I’m still trying to even process that this is actually real. When we pick a date/place for his service I will post it then.

Had an amazing first day back with my beautiful wife and Dad yesterday!!! Hit me up to book your trip! We are only offering three trips a week so the calendar is filling up fast.

We are back home and it’s that time of year!!! We are officially booking trips! I have a couple of available days left in May and we are mostly booking into June. If you want to get out this Spring/Summer I would recommend getting a day on my calendar asap. Like I said before, I am not gonna be running too many trips for the next few months, so the availability is limited! This beautiful fish was caught four years ago today. Please feel free to share!

We should be starting to book trips mid-late April! I expect the spring bite to be fantastic this year! Keep an eye out on my FB and IG for the announcement when we are booking again. I just wanted to update everyone on how my beautiful wife is doing. She suffered some brain damage due to lack of oxygen while they had to perform CPR on her for over 20 minutes on Christmas Day. We are at an impatient rehab facility helping her get everything back that she lost, and she is amazing us all every day! As long as she keeps improving the way she is we will hopefully start booking trips again mid-late Spring!

Another week of A$$ Kickin’ down! Diana Cook keeps improving every day and proving what a miracle she really is. Her memory is coming back more and more! Every time she is able to remember something new she gets so excited, it’s awesome to witness. She is progressing quickly in therapy and is able to focus all day throughout her sessions. This is the first week we have made it through without any breakdowns/meltdowns which is absolutely huge! She has made friends with EVERYONE here, of course. Her therapists and counselors all love her, her personality is contagious. I’m so grateful for where we are at today and I can’t wait to see what the future holds! With her particular type of brain injury it is amazing to see how far she has come in such a short amount of time, she is defying odds left and right. God is good and thank you all as always for all of the prayers and support! Please feel free to share, I know she has a ton of people out there eager to see how great she is doing. Please keep the prayers coming!

As many of you know, my wife went into cardiac arrest on Christmas day and is still here in the hospital at Stanford recovering. All trips will be suspended and rescheduled until she is home as I will not leave her side until she’s better! Thanks to everyone for all of the prayers and continued support, we will be back on the water and rippin’ lips as soon as we can! Please keep the prayers coming.

What a fun day out there yesterday! Gavin wanted to gain some some confidence in his jig fishing game, so that is exactly what we did. Seven hours, countless fish and many laughs later, I can say with confidence It’s gonna be hard for him to put that bait down from here on out!
