Finally! A deal on Bose. ONLY $1199. Since COVID there have been no Bose deals due to supply issues. I have four A30 Bluetooth headsets on the way and you can get one for $100 off. No tax either so savings is about $170 vs buying from Bose. I will also sell my factory reconditioned pair of A20’s for $895. Let me know if you want any.

Congratulations to Nick Kleman on his First Solo Flight today. It was one of those days that makes the CFI nervous sitting on the ground listening to the wind switch in direction and speed. Nick was doing great at crosswinds so the 9kt crosswind was fine for him. Prior to the first landing it bumped up to 11 knots. Things still looked good and he handled it well. After take off number two it was changing around and gusting to 18-20. Although he handled it fine, the flight instructor wasn’t going to listen to another three minutes of changing directions and speeds so the plug was pulled at two. Great Job Nick and thanks for keeping the airplane in one piece!

It was a great VFR day to break in the new engine on N295ME and start on the Fly Wisconsin Airport Passport Program. With the airplane being down for an extended period of time for the engine, Lainie and Teri were eager to get back in the air and volunteered to share the route. It was an ambitious 15 airport route with a northerly tangent by landing at all the airports basically straight north of us. That included Stevens Point, Mosinee, Wausau, Antigo, Crandon, Three Lakes, Eagle River, Land O Lakes, Boulder Junction, Manitowish Waters, Minocqua, Rhinelander, Tomahawk, Merrill, and Wisconsin Rapids.
Although we left the engine running and just ran in to get the books stamped, it was lots of fun checking out 15 of Wisconsin’s 125ish airports. Lainie flew the first multi stop leg going north and Teri took over for the southbound return. The mission was accomplished with about 7 hours of break in time and over 10% of Wisconsin’s airports covered.
