Trips for the "Over 55" Prince William Area Quality Tour Transport, Inc. has been operating the Bluebird program since 2009.

We are responsible for planning, operating, and collecting for all the tours offered. Our tours operate within the continental United States and include such sights as the Grand Canyon, the Badlands of North Dakota, Mount Rushmore, Boston, Cape Cod, New Orleans and Orlando, Florida to name a few. Every month there are a minimum of 6-8 one day tours to destinations no more than one to three hours i

n any direction. Included are destinations to many theatres' such as the Kennedy Center, the Hippodrome in Baltimore, the Arena Stage as well as historic points of interest in Norfolk, Richmond, Baltimore and Philadelphia.

HISTORIC MAYMONT ESTATE & STATE CAPITOL
Richmond, VA
Cost: $95 pp
On arrival we will proceed to the State Capitol to enjoy a guided tour of our beautiful legislative building from which our State is governed. You will visit both the Senate and House Chambers. Next, we are offering a guided Historic Estate Tour that will focus less on horticulture and more on the architectural and historical features on the Historic Side of the Maymont property, including the outbuildings, carriage collection, historic gardens, and more. This tour will take roughly 1.5 hours to do, and it requires walking over uneven ground and climbing stairs/hills. You will explore the architectural design of a late 19th-century estate built on 100 acres of rolling hills overlooking the James River. The tour offers insight into the American Gilded Age, an era of rapid economic growth and technological advances, from 19th century gas lighting and horsepower to 20th century electricity and automobiles. We will then proceed to the Cracker Barrel for a late lunch [$18 gift card].
