If you are interested in an intimate, casual vacation where you can enjoy the local culture, try a River Cruise on a Longship.

A Longship only carries 125 to 150 passengers so it’s easy to meet new people and make new cruise friends. It is also a very casual atmosphere, no formal wear or jackets are required.

Being on a river in a smaller ship affords many advantages. You feel very little motion, allowing you to dock along the river at small towns and villages. This makes it easy for you to indulge in local customs and artistry.

Every evening the passengers meet in the lounge for drinks with the cruise director. At that time the activities for the evening and the next day are discussed in a relaxed atmosphere. After cocktails everyone goes into dinner, often a local cuisine, to enjoy the comradery of your fellow cruises and talk about the days adventure.

After dinner there is always some type of entertainment in the lounge. Often local musicians and entertainment are brought on board before the ship departs for the next port.

So if you are thinking about a casual, cultural cruise, think about taking a River Cruise.

Cruising in Elegance

Are you looking for something different in cruising? Not just your normal Caribbean Cruise or Alaska. Try something different and more elegant. How about a Transatlantic Cruise on Cunards Queen Mary 2? This is not your typical cruise, you do need to pack formal wear.
