What’s really going on behind the scenes when you open up an online travel booking site and start searching for a hotel?🤔

You’ll get a list of results, but here’s the thing, it may not actually be what’s best for you and your travel preferences.

So many booking sites prioritize profits, pushing trip suggestions based on the inventory they want to fill and suppliers who pay for premium placements.

💫Client Highlight! 💫 An unforgettable 35th Anniversary to Brussels, Venice, and Rome🇧🇪🇮🇹

When a Client contacts me for a celebration trip, I always feel extra appreciative that I get to create something that will make these memories for them that will last forever. When Tamara and David contacted me about wanting a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Europe for their 35 anniversary, I was so thankful to be a part of it!

In the discovery call I heard of their dreams of the destinations they’ve always wanted to visit and after working to curate this experience to check every box on their bucket list from a Gondala ride in Venice to the most magical day in Rome, I was almost teary-eyed listening to their excitement as they saw this dream come to reality.

💫 New Client Highlight!💫

Catherine and Rob had Switzerland on their bucket-list forever and contacted me feeling overwhelmed with all the options out there for other countries to tie in, where to stay, how to get around…the list goes on with all the details to figure out. 🇨🇭

I know they are an outdoorsy fun-loving couple that are up for anything but most importantly, wanted unique experiences. 🚞

Their itinerary took them to some of the most beautiful cities including Geneva, Bern, Montreux, Grindelwald, Salzburg, and Munich.

They stayed in some of the most stunning places and even in one of the most historical hotels in Austria.

What are my top “must-bring items” when headed to Mexico or the Caribbean? 🧐

Packing lists are something I give every client in their Arrival guides so they can feel prepared and confident they know everything is done and remembered.

I often read from travelers on message boards and other posts “what am I forgetting?” Or “what is something you suggest I be sure to bring?” So I am sure you are@not alone when you think about these lists as well.

These summer days are numbered but I'm excited to have several more educational trips on the agenda.

I‘m headed to Aruba in a few weeks with my family and while I am there, I will be meeting with several local hotel sales teams and going on several site inspections.

What are site inspections? This is where I get to spend some quality time seeing and learning about the ins and outs of resorts on the islands:

1. Are the rooms clean?
2. How is the food?
3. How friendly is the staff on property?
4. What is the vibe at the resort?
5. Is there drink service and how often do they come around?
6. What is the general feeling from the guests? Are they loving it?

My trips aren't just vacations. I spend several days while I am gone doing these site inspections to learn more about resorts so that when someone comes to me looking to stay on a particular island, I can give my honest feedback. I learn things from site inspections that you just can't know from a hotel's website or Trip Advisor.

It is definitely a huge added bonus that my es**rt around the resort is usually a sales/reservations/concierge manager where the connections I make and first-hand answers I get for you will help make lasting relationships that will be important to have while my clients are there in the future.

As always, I‘ll also be experiencing things like the local food and the local tours and experiences so I can come back with a whole bunch of information to make better recommendations to you in te future.

💫Client Highlight!💫

I am so excited i@to introduce you guys to Kaitlin and Jamal! This honeymoon couple knew they wanted to experience luxury in the French Riveria while still being able to relax, unwind, be outdoors, and experience all the things this beautiful area of France has to offer. 🇫🇷

They spent 2 weeks traveling down the French Riveria from Monte Carlo, Cannes, and Nice, down to Saint Tropez. They wanted amazing food and beach clubs, so we curated their itinerary to March just the right amount of cafes and high end culinary experiences with the best accomodations right on the Riviera for them. We VIPed them and worked with our awesome partners to make sure they had several honeymoon touches as they checked in along the way. I am so happy to see these stunning photos from this unforgettable honeymoon.

My biggest one piece of advice I give every one of my clients? Make sure you have travel protection!

No one ever plans for something to happen before or during their trip. Sudden sickness or trip to the hospital, a death in the family, a natural disaster, or something coming up at work all can happen and be totally out of your control.

Every one of my clients come to me excited to plan a trip they have working really hard to save money to be able to experience, protecting that investment is equally as important to me as the trip they will be taking.

Something most people don’t know is that having the coverage while you are “in travel” is equally important. Did you know if you get sick or hurt in many international countries you are required to pay the full bill, upfront, sometimes in cash, before they will treat you? Most people I know do not have that much cash on them while traveling. Travel insurance helps make sure you are covered in these cases!

Some true stories of things that have happened to my clients within the past year where travel insurance made sure they were covered:

-An unexpected hospital visit in Hawaii the morning they were suppose to fly back home and they randomly had to stay 2 extra days

-a hurricane heading towards their getaway destination where all the airports were shut down so they couldn’t make it to the hotel, or the destination in general

-a pilot strike in Paris where the couple couldn’t get home to work the next day because there where no flights out of Paris. We had to move there last day and night to a whole new country so they could get home.

I have many more if interested! Moral of the story: make sure you save room for travel protection I. Your vacation budget!

🛥️Instead of marching into a stadium, representatives from more than 200 competing countries will enter the Games on boats along the River Seine, passing landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame.

👓More than 300,000 spectators are also expected to line the river

🎤Pop singers Celine Dion and Lady Gaga, who are both in Paris, are rumored to be performing.

🏀LeBron James will be one of the athletes to carry the flag for Team USA at the opening ceremony.

💫Client Highlight💫

Meet Dayna and Marty! I knew right from the start these two would be a blast to curate an Anniversary trip for with their unique and wonderful vision for exactly what they wanted to experience.

Dayna really loves champagne and wanted to go see the beautiful Champagne Houses in France. Yes, some of the big names, but one of her asks was to go to a small, family-owned Champagne House that couldn’t be access by a typical tour: something special and unique.

Marty, on the other hand, brews his own beer and was fascinated by the history in Belgium, most notably Brussels and Bruges, on the history of brewing, hops, and the process.

With the help of my partners in Europe, they had connections with local families that would welcome Dayna and Marty to their small establishments away from crowds and share their love of their craft. We curated this trip with them from scratch to makes their dreams into an itinerary in reality.

I have a bit of a controversial take on luxury travel.

What do you consider Luxury travel?

I’m a pretty big believer that luxury is not always 5-star resorts and first-class tickets (although both of those are nice!).

Luxury can be as simple as having someone else plan and book all the details for your trip so there’s no stress on your shoulders.

Luxury can be an itinerary tailored perfectly to you, without you having to lift one finger.

Luxury can be as simple as seamless logistics, where all the details are planned and organized for you without any stress or wasted time.

Just know that whether your idea of luxury is the 5-star resorts or it’s all of the things I listed above, make it a seemless and stressfree experience is my #1 goal for you.

Destination Highlight: Portugal! 🇵🇹

I’ve been working this week with my partner out of Lisbon on the most beautiful itinerary for a coupe heading to Portugal this summer and it is so dreamy for a couple looking to get the most of their trip.
