As the weather begins to warm, we have been hearing from travelers almost daily as they begin to make their Summer plans. Though we proudly offer a fully digital booking experience, we often get the pleasure of enjoying a conversation with prospective guests before hosting them.

So far, this summer’s theme has been all about family - with guests coming from near and far for reunions, birthdays, weddings, or to celebrate a loved one who has recently passed.

Being our guests home-away-from-home, while in town making new memories with loved ones, is a privilege and a responsibility we take seriously. It also touches us personally while warming our hearts, and is one of our favorite things about serving Woodville and our community at The Joshua on 61.

Whatever your reason may be, we hope you’ll consider staying in one of our five thoughtfully appointed studio apartments, where you’ll experience Southern Country Elegance with all of the comforts of home and none of the worry.

Once known as the Glenburnie Motor Hotel in the 1950s and later transformed into Neal’s Magnolia Inn, The Joshua on Highway 61 is the culmination of a multi-year reimagining of a series of historic motor inns on the Great River Road into the charming and welcoming getaway it is today.

With the recent openings of Community Grocery MS and The Turquoise Finch we recognize kindred spirits on a common path, with a nod to our past but with our eyes on what’s to come. Conveniently located just down the way from the Woodville Hospitality Station and minutes from the heart of the Town of Woodville, Mississippi, Woodville is our heart and our home, and we couldn’t be prouder to be members of this community.

We’re thrilled to introduce you to The Joshua on Highway 61, our unique apartment and RV community nestled in the heart of Woodville, MS. Once known as the Glenburnie Motor Hotel in the 1950s and later transformed into Neal’s Magnolia Inn, this property has been thoughtfully reinvented as a charming and welcoming community getaway.

The Joshua community is comprised of both long-term residents in our apartments and RV park, along with short-term guests seeking a home away from home. This diverse blend of residents and guests will bring a unique vibrancy to The Joshua, fostering a sense of belonging and shared experience.

The studio apartments, available for both short and long-term stays, offer a comfortable living space, thoughtful amenities, and an opportunity to be a part of our welcoming community. For our RV travelers, we’ve ensured our park offers everything you’d expect and more. Our spots are easily accessible, with full hook-ups.

Situated on U.S. Highway 61, known as the Blues Highway, The Joshua is the perfect stop on your road trip. This iconic road, stretching from New Orleans to Minnesota and famously memorialized in Bob Dylan’s “Highway 61 Revisited” album, is steeped in musical history and cultural significance. As part of our Joshua community, you’ll have the opportunity to explore local attractions and natural wonders.

Just a short drive away, you’ll find the charming town of Natchez, MS (Plan your itinerary at Visit Natchez.), renowned for its antebellum architecture, and St. Francisville, LA (Don't miss Things to Do in the Town of St. Francisville.),where Southern hospitality is alive and well.
