Our middle schoolers had a productive afternoon in the Learning Lab!

our Learning Lab is a quiet & supportive environment held on the 4th floor from 2:15 to 3:00 to complete homework, study, or get assistance with organization. High School National Honor Society students are also available for one-on-one or small-group help.

As our country mourns the loss of former President Jimmy Carter, we remember a special moment in our community’s history when he visited the Woonsocket residence of Mount Saint Charles alum and current Woonsocket Mayor, Christopher Beauchamp ’77. Carter was invited to the Beauchamp's Harris Avenue home in 1975 to greet local supporters during his presidential campaign.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Let's look inside a classroom! 🧬🔬

This week, students in Mr. Koziupa's Anatomy and Physiology class got hands-on with their studies by dissecting quarter chickens! 🐔 After weeks of learning about epithelial, skeletal, and muscular systems, they finally got to see it all come to life.

We ❤️ our alumni! Today, Mrs. Breault's AP Research class welcomed back Matthew Zinno, '23 to provide valuable feedback on student projects. As a research specialist at the University of Maryland, Matthew shared his expertise and insights, inspiring our students as they refine their work.

AP Research is the capstone course of the AP Capstone program where students embark on a year-long journey to design, conduct, and present an independent research project on a topic of their choice. Through this rigorous process, they develop advanced skills in critical thinking, academic writing, and public presentation. Visits from accomplished alumni like Matthew offer a unique opportunity for our students to learn from real-world experts and see where their research skills can take them.

We love seeing our alumni return to support the next generation of Mount scholars—building connections that strengthen our Mount community! Thank you, Matthew, for your time and dedication!

Before Adelard Arena was built in the early 60's, Mount St Charles in Woonsocket, RI held practices and intramural hockey games on makeshift rinks on their Logee Street athletic fields.

Rest in Peace

It is with great sadness that the RI Hockey Hall of Fame shares the news of the passing of Larry Kish at age 83. A fierce competitor, Larry became the PC Friars' first All-American in 1964, captaining them to the ECAC title. He began his coaching career guiding RI's Mount St Charles Academy to a NE & several state titles before a 26-year pro coaching career. He is an honored member of both the Friars and AHL's Binghamton Hockey Halls of Fame. Our sincere sympathies to his family, friends, and former players and teammates.

Over the weekend, some members of our Active Minds organization had the chance to attend Saturday's New England Patriots game as guests of Christian Gonzalez. Christian has partnered with KyleCares, which many of our students are actively involved with. Thank you to Christian and the NE Patriots!
