“Hello, we are The Milkhouse! Our location 147 South Market Street. Today we put up our coming soon sign! We are a multi-family owned and operated dairy store coming to downtown Wooster late spring/early summer!

Offered in our storefront will be ice cream, and our line of dairy products! The milk used for our products is local to downtown, with both farms being 20 minutes away! Currently we are building a processing plant near Burbank, which will open this year as well!

2025's Wayne Winter Hiking Challenge officially begins today! ❄️🥾

Our challenge may be beginning today, but we welcome you wait til we get past these subzero temperatures before you get out the trails. We know hiking in the cold can be invigorating but we also want you to be safe out there!

The challenge is for hikers of all ages and levels. Nature is for EVERYBODY! Make it your own hike, go at your own pace.

January 20th - March 15th, hike 6 of 8 different parks we have listed in our challenge brochure for 2025 to complete the challenge. This brochure is available for download and print from our challenge webpage (link below), or for pickup at the checkout counter at Local Roots. Challenge finishers can fill out their brochure and drop it off at Local Roots when they are done. They will then receive a $10 gift card to Local Roots per household and a specialty challenge sticker per hiker. By completing the hiking challenge, hikers are also automatically entered into a drawing for the Wayne Winter Hiking Challenge Raffle for additional prizes! On the back of the hiking form are bonus activities. Each bonus activity completed adds an additional entry to the raffle. Keep an eye out for updates on the raffle prize. Raffle winner will be notified after the challenge is complete.

Snow-covered landscapes provide breathtaking views, yet they also pose certain challenges. Please remain aware of weather conditions, dress appropriately for the cold, and exercise caution when traveling, particularly when encountering buggies (horse-drawn carriages) on the roadways. ❄️
