And I had the absolute BEST smash burger of my life at the Pixar Place Hotel in Disneyland. The exclusive entrance into Disney's California Adventure Park was also a huge plus we enjoyed there. ⚡Disney Genie+ gets a glow up -- and a new name -- just in time for summer!⚠️

Starting July 24, Genie+ will become ⚡Lightning Lane Multi Pass⚡, while Individual Lightning Lane access will become ⚡Lightning Lane Single Pass⚡ - making the nomenclature much easier to understand!

Lightning Lane Single Pass will include the single most popular ride (or rides in the case of Magic Kingdom) in each park -- the Mine Train, Tron, Avatar: Flight of Passage, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and Rise of the Resistance.

⚡Pre-planning is back!
Some of what you loved about FastPass+ is coming back in the form of pre-planning. You will be able to purchase Lightning Lane access, select your attractions AND your return times, in advance of your vacation.

Walt Disney World Resort Guests*:
7 days in advance, for the length of day (multiple days)

All other guests:
3 days in advance

Once you use your first selection you can make a new selection -- you don't have to wait until you've used all 3.

⚡Tiered selections are back!
Previous FastPass+ users might remember that when making advance selections you picked 1 from the top tier of rides, and then 2 from the next tier of rides. This concept is coming back with advance selection at 3 of 4 parks - Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. (NOT Disney's Animal Kingdom.)

Tiana's Bayou Adventure will officially open on June 28 in Magic Kingdom! When the ride opens it will only take guests via virtual queue for the initial opening period, but after a short time it will be added to Genie+.

It will not have a separate paid Individual Lightning Lane access option. You just have to purchase Genie+ for the day to access a return window where you can skip the standby line. Guests purchasing Genie+ will also receive the ride photo download for free!

Or, you can always choose to wait in the standby queue. I'm sure the line will have many amazing details to discover while you wait! You can even grab a beignet from the Golden Oak Outpost or Friar's Nook to nibble on while you wait!

🎉 Big win for travelers! 🌍✈️ The Department of Transportation just approved the largest expansion of passenger rights EVER! Say goodbye to airline delays holding your refund hostage! 🙌

Airlines can no longer decide how long a delay must be before a refund is issued. Under the new DOT rules, consumers will be due prompt cash refunds 💸✈️ for delays of more than three hours for domestic flights and more than six hours for international flights, if they don't accept alternate transportation or future travel credits.

The new Transportation Department rules start going into effect in six months, one less constraint to worry about when planning your next family vacation! 🗓️✈️
