Ramadan 2024
the blessed month of grace
A time of mercy, a time of faith
A time to seek forgiveness and embrace
The blessings of Allah, showered with grace.
As the sun sets, the crescent moon appears
A sign of hope, wiping away all fears
The mosques are filled, with prayers and tears
As we embark on this journey, shedding our worldly affairs.
Fasting from dawn till dusk, with patience and devotion
A test of faith, to strengthen our devotion
We refrain from food and drink, with a pure intention
To purify our souls, and seek Allah's satisfaction.
The streets are adorned, with lights and decor
The spirit of Ramadan, spreads even more
Charity and kindness, we strive to restore
For the sake of Allah, and to earn His reward.
The Quran, our guide, our source of light
We read and reflect, throughout the night
Seeking guidance, in every verse we recite
For this is the month, where the Quran was brought to sight.
As the days go by, our hearts are filled with peace
For we have submitted, to Allah's decree
We break our fast, with dates and water, with ease
Grateful for the blessings, that we have received.
And as the month comes to an end
We bid farewell, to our beloved friend
Ramadan, the month of mercy, we will always defend
For it has brought us closer, to Allah, our eternal trend.
Ramadan 2024, a month of spiritual growth
A journey of self-discovery, a path to both
This is the month, we hold close to our heart
For it has changed us, and given us a fresh start.
