Gus will only stand on the second step in the pool and won’t jump in to swim anymore and now we know why. He has a skin irritation to the chlorine. 😞 He was tolerating the feet and neck, but not the rest of him. I caught the infections before they got bad. He’s on meds and will have to enjoy ocean, river, fresh water and salt water pools only from now on. 🤷‍♀️

Look who decided to take the plunge 3 times today! It’s a little warmer, but not much more (69 degrees).

Second day of traveling almost 500 miles is in the books and Gus did great, again! Took us longer than it should have due to accidents in a couple places. As usual, Gus is jumping place to place as soon as he gets in the room. I’m not even asking him to pose. 😆 He just keeps moving and waiting for me to acknowledge him as I organize and settle into the room. 🥰

We have made it to Florida and Gus has gone into the very cold pool. 😆 He’s in his glory.

Gus and Astrid are not fans of my moving Christmas decorations. 😆 Gus came to me for protection. 🥰

Gus has a new friend. Leo, who is more than twice Gus’s size and 1/2 his age, is a gentle giant. He hurt Gus by stepping on him, by accident, and Leo took extra precaution to protect his friend from his heavy step. Leo is so sweet.

Pretty much a daily routine. Astrid rolls, they wrestle and run around the shed and the house. 😆

Labbies attack! 😆 The funniest part is in the middle and towards the end when she ends up on the floor. Bad move to end up on the floor with labs.

“Ok, Ellie, you got me.” He’s so smitten with her. Gus lets her “pin” him down. He’s still holding out hope that she’ll be his mate some day. (She’s almost 9 and was fixed many years ago.)

Double trouble on an early morning walk.
