Our Story
In the early 1950's, Samuel M. Beecher Jr. began manufacturing wooden shoe heels in a modest building in Dover, PA. Having a keen sense of entrepreneurial spirit, Mr. Beecher partnered with George M. Myers to operate Beecher & Myers Co., Inc. They began manufacturing wooden plugs for the paper industry. Custom built mechanical machinery was fabricated by George Williams Tool and Machinery Company in York, PA.
Having worked in the factory since a young teen, Mr. Beecher's son, Gary, took over operations in 1980. Seeing an opportunity advance the company, Gary automated production by installing CNC routers and expanding the company's reach regionally.
In 1996, Gary's daughter, Holly and son in law, Blaine Feeser began running the company. Shortly after, Beecher & Myers opened a second production facility in York county. Production began to run 120 hours per week to meet customer demand. In 1997, Beecher & Myers implemented computerized panel sizing machinery in order to consistently offer high quality volume production.
