Rain sure gives our waterfalls a sudden boost, but don’t believe the blue skies quite yet! More inclement weather is due for the park through Wednesday and possibly returning for the weekend. Even if the forecast snow becomes rain, freezing temperatures overnight result in slick roads and trails. Keep yourself safe by bringing tire chains for your vehicle and traction devices for your boots.

You can call our road status hotline anytime at 209/372-0200 (then press 1 and 1 again) for current road conditions and tire chain restrictions. If you’re visiting us soon, expect chain requirements and possible traffic delays or road closures.

We are thrilled to share that, thanks to the support of Conservancy donors, Yosemite’s Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias is welcoming and serving visitors at full capacity for the first time since the January 2021 storm that forced the area to close for several months.

Now, in even better news, Mariposa Grove has fully reopened with:
🚽restrooms rebuilt
🚌shuttle service resumed
🛍Yosemite Conservancy bookstore up and running
— and with the help of Conservancy donors, beautiful boardwalks restored to protect the root systems of the ancient trees who’ve lived for thousands of years in this special place. 🌲
