Never worked with a Travel Agent before? Let us walk you through our process!
Our first goal is determining location and dates of your trip. If you already know that’s great, If not- no problem, we will help you figure it out!
Next we send you a short quiz. This just ask you about things you like to do, don’t like to do, any allergies or health concerns you or your party may have, dates of availability for travel, your budget, destinations preferences and more. This quiz is just to makes sure we have all of the information we need so we can get you exactly what you want and make booking fast and painless. We will also send a payment link for our initial deposit.
What’s the deposit for?
This deposit covers your travel agent’s initial research and time. We are a service, and planning a trip takes our agents a lot of work in the beginning stages. A none refundable deposit helps promise they are compensated for their time if you decide to wait on booking your travels. Please note also, if you pay a deposit and then wait a few months before continuing with booking process, their may be another fee for updated research on availability and cost as they do fluctuate daily. This deposit is usually sits between $15-$90 depending on how much research we anticipate your trip taking an agent. There may be a second payment at the time of booking your trip to cover the amount of time your agent has put into research and booking if it exceeds the initial deposit.
Your agent will communicate with you when they have reached past the deposit cost to verify it’s okay to continue the trip planning process.
We believe in clear communication on our rates and never want to surprise you with any hidden fees. We charge hourly for the time working on your trip directly. We typically watch flight rates or hotel rates for 1-2 weeks- this does not mean you will be charged for those whole two weeks! Only the time spent directly on your trip. You’ll never be hit with hundreds of dollars of surprise cost.
Also please note If you know your location ahead of time that’s great! If not, that’s great too! We can help. However knowing your location ahead of time will lower your travel fees. Just a reminder, your cost with Deriv will increase if your agent has to price multiple trips, considering their time and research for each location.
How quickly will I hear from my agent?
After we receive your forms, we will watch cost for a few days or up to two weeks. Reminder, we do prioritize trips.☺️ For Example: If we have several clients needing to book spontaneous trips for an upcoming weekend, and one client looking to book a family vacation in several months, we will need help our clients whose trips are happening soonest first. But we will always get your trip finished in plenty of advance and insure you have the best deals! ☺️
How far in advance can I book?
We can always help you familiarize yourself with an area and send recommendations as well as current prices! If you are looking to book a trip in two or more years away, most places aren’t booking that far in advance during these times, unfortunately. We will do our best to price things for you, however booking may have to hold until resorts and airlines open up their availability for that year.
So what’s next?
After we have communicated location, cost, time frame and verify everything is perfect for you.. WE BOOK!✈️
Before you take off , we will send you a customized list of things in the area we think you will enjoy! We typically send this the week of your departure. We will send you list of restaurants for breakfast, lunch, dinner and night life as well as their menus and hours. We will also send a list of things to check out for free, and things to do with admission cost and their hours of operation!
If you’re traveling out of country, or even some states with different cultures, we will send a quick crash course on unique laws you maybe wouldn’t be familiar with, as well as other things to keep yourself and others safe and educated!
Along with safety and laws, we will send you all COVID requirements and other health and safety restrictions for your travels and the country or area you will be in.
After you are booked, and receive your cheat sheet to the area, your next job is to relax and enjoy your trip!
