“Toqi Zargaron“
The bazaar's captivating domes once housed shops primarily dedicated to books, known as "Toqi Kitob." However, over time, these shops were gradually replaced by more sought-after goods during the Silk Road era, such as carpets, hats, and fur.
The bazaar's main hall features impressive arching domes painted in white, allowing natural light to enter through an oculus.
Visitors to the bazaar will come across various carpet stores, where they can find some of the finest handmade silk carpets in the world. These carpets are renowned for their vibrant colors, shine, and fluffy texture. If you plan on purchasing them, be prepared to bring extra money, preferably in USD. It is advisable to engage in haggling to reach a mutually beneficial agreement.
One of the notable structures in Bukhara's historic center is Toqi Telpak Furushon, which has maintained its vibrancy for over 500 years. Similar to the Bukhara Tower, it is an unmistakable landmark in one of the best-preserved medieval towns in the region.
