Hi all adventurers. If you are able to get along with most, love to travel and want to take an active part in an adventure, get in contact by PM. We are not looking to be a form of transport. We want people who want to explore and enjoy the local environment. You must be willing to eat all food groups and be reasonably unfussy. You will be fully vaccinated against Covid. You do not need to have sailing experience as we will teach you what you need to know to be able to safely do a shift. This adventure is based on a small daily contribution for the bed and then a share of the daily running costs. Each leg is usually 25 days long, starting on the 1st of the month and ending on the 25th. The yacht is a 46’, 4 double en-suite birthed catamaran. We have a watermaker, 3 freezers, 2 fridges and 80lt fridge or freezer allowing long trips away from civilisation. We have a washing machine, dive compressor, x10 scuba tanks, dinghy with 30hp, dinghy with 9.8hp, loads of safety equipment, SUP, kitesurfer plus loads more.
We are looking for people to join us for the Tuamotus, Marquesas, Society Islands and beyond. Have you ever heard of Fakarava (pass full of skarks and mantas) Rangiroa (like Fakarava), Bora Bora, Moorea, Huahine, Raiatea, Phoenix Islands, Line Islands, Gilbert Islands, Marshall Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, Tonga etc

We are looking for a couple or two people to share an ensuite cabin to join us on the Panama Leg of our circumnavigation sailing adventure. This is a 25 day leg and starts on the 1st April 2022 and ends on the 25th April 2022. There is a small daily contribution of $10US per person per day for the ensuite cabin/bed use, and a share of the running costs (not maintenance costs) which include food, fuel, government fees and moorings etc. You will take part in all aspects of running a yacht which includes sailing, cooking, having fun on the sea, seeing new places, swimming, snorkelling, hiking etc. All sails will be day time sailing and no previous sailing is required. We will teach you what you need to know. We will be spending some time sailing around the Caribbean side and the Pacific side. We have two motorised dinghies on board, so crew can do their own thing. You should be non-fussy with what you eat and be able to eat from all food groups.
Private Message me if you are interested.
We are also looking for people to join us for legs in the Pacific.

For all who may be interested, this is our planned timetable for our circumnavigation. Its only a guide due to the unpredictability of weather, but has some flexibility in each leg. Remember, this is not a charter but an adventure and you will take part in all aspects of living/travelling on board. As a result, the expected costs of each leg should mostly be less than $1500US per person for 25 days :-

We have seen notices warning about an increase in Shark activity in our area and those notices have asked people to be on the look out for them and to report sightings to the Fisheries Department - hmmm I wonder why!!??

Recently in the Caribbean media, there have been a number of articles asking that the public be vigilant after an increase in shark sightings in the region. Let’s unpack this below!πŸ‘‡πŸ½
🦈
(1) Has there been an increase in the number of sharks in our region?
No! There is no evidence that there has been an increase in the number of sharks in the Caribbean. In contrast, sharks have been in rapid decline for some time and there is critical need for the improved management and conservation of sharks in T&T, regionally, and globally.
🦈
(2) What types of sharks are usually in our waters?
There are more than 40 species of sharks in T&T’s waters! Everything from Great and Scalloped Hammerheads and Nurse Sharks, to whale sharks and deep-sea species like the Green Lantern Shark.
🦈
(3) Does this pose any danger to people swimming in the oceans surrounding our islands?
It’s a fact - we share the ocean with sharks so there is always the possibility of a shark attack, however that probability is incredibly low. The likelihood of being attacked and killed by a shark are 1 in 3,750,000. You’re more likely to be killed by a lightning strike or flying champagne cork!
🦈
(4) Why should we care about and respect sharks?
As apex predators, sharks play an important role in the ecosystem by maintaining the species below them in the food chain and serving as an indicator for ocean health. They help remove the weak and the sick as well as keeping the balance with competitors helping to ensure species diversity. They are essential for a healthy ocean and can even influence the economy through ecotourism. In the Bahamas, a single live reef shark is worth $250,000 as a result of dive tourism versus a one time value of $50 when caught by a fisherman. One whale shark in Belize can bring in $2 million over its lifetime.

Our Story

Shawn and Ally have known each other since they were 10 years old when Shawn moved from Cape Town, South Africa to the South coast of the UK with his family. They have been together as a couple for 8 years.

On finishing school, Shawn went to Essex University and obtained a Degree in Electronic Systems Engineering and Ally trained as a Registered General Nurse. After several career changes, Shawn worked towards his dream of owning his own yacht for 5 years, learning to Scuba Dive and travelling to Thailand for 6 months to train, qualify and teach as a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer. He also obtained his Commercially Endorsed Ocean Yachtmaster qualification, training in the turbulent seas of South Africa. After gaining this qualification, he worked for a large Yacht Charter Company in the Caribbean for 9 months before moving to Malaysia for 18 months to assist with the renovations of the Tall Ship, The Royal Albatross, quickly being promoted to First Mate. It was whilst he was working here that Imagination came up for sale at the end of 2010.

Ally had no real sailing experience before taking on her role as First Mate/Chef on Imagination, but adapted very quickly and she now has over 23, 000 nautical miles under her belt. Over the seasons, she has developed a menu to suit all palates, preferring to dish up tasty, filling, home-cooked meals as opposed to β€œfussy food”. Provisioning and finding fresh ingredients has been a particular challenge in the Grenadine Islands, but she has adapted and tweeked recipes to use the readily available produce. She is always on the look out for new meal ideas/recipes. She has 3 children at home in England, of whom she is extremely proud and she also has one adorable grandson.

Our 46' Fountaine Pajot catamaran, Imagination, is currently based in St Vincent and The Grenadines in the Caribbean and we provide affordable crewed charters, offering anything from a basic Half Board option to fully all inclusive Full Board and everything in between, from 1 day to....well....how long do you want to stay on board? You tell us what you want, and we will do our best to put a package together to suit your requirements. We have 3 double en
