Been a while since we've posted to our page. Quite an exciting and stressful year it's been. From bullies in the family who use children to get back at us to fu***ng as****es who run Grenada Marine who made promises and never followed through from woodwork, electrical work and batteries they ruined and at first promised to replace (which all together cost us an additional $10,000 on our boat this year) and of course people who have to take what we post on our private pages and make it all about them because they think the world revolves around them.
But, as stressful as this year has been (needlessly if people would simply ask us questions instead of demanding they know more about our lives, our safety, our finances, our relationship, our health and welfare, etc), we have come out stronger and more determined to live our lives the way WE want to live our lives. Some "family" really have a problem with that, but we've come to the agreement that that is THEIR problems and not our's. And, why people want to make their problems our problems is just insane.
So, we are now planning on heading to Bonaire to get the Pfizer vaccine so we can fly back to California eventually. Kimberly can't use the AstraZenaca vaccine (the only one available here in Grenada) due to a health concern that leads to blood clots. Every doctor we've consulted with has said the same thing. So, off we go because NEITHER of us wish to fly unvaccinated and we are over being in Grenada because we have been stuck here the last year during the pandemic. Figure a month of so in Bonaire to get vaccinated and enjoy the beauty there (supposed to have the clearest water in the Caribbean) and maybe the same amount of time in Curaçao to unwind. We will then haul our boat and fly back to California. It will be good to get back and see those family members and friends who have been supportive and understanding of our situation during the last year and a half here and see one of these special people's/family's new home. ❤
It's going to be strange, but we have a lot to get done for the next phase of our lives that was all Kimberly's idea (regardless of anyone who thinks it was my idea). We have exciting plans on something Kimberly has wanted to do going back to 2015. We're excited. She is fond of saying that this kind of thing, indeed all we do travel wise, were things she never even dared dream about before her and Curtis got married. We will still be sailing, but we have other plans in the works.
So, we will both try to update this page more frequently. Kimberly closed her personal account because a bully chased her off by making a huge thing out of a small and innocent remark that this bully took out of context and blew it up. But, Curtis kept his account in order to stay updated with friends and his family.
To those still here, thanks. To those who supported us and cared about us without making trouble, thanks. We really appreciate you.
Here's Here's couple of photos from tonight's sunset.
